Where Planners Become Producers

Join meeting planner, Tony Scurry, as we discover LA's “unconventional” venues that feature a breadth of creative space.

L.A. LIVE

L.A. LIVE transformed Downtown into the entertainment hub it is today. With the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena on the same campus, L.A. LIVE is also home to numerous restaurants, the Grammy Museum, a bowling alley, a cineplex, a broadcasting center for ESPN, and a range of hotels. There are more than 5,000 hotel rooms within a mile of L.A. LIVE, including the JW Marriott on campus.

The Gateway to LA

The highest concentration of hotel rooms outside of Downtown are in the LAX area. Besides being only a few miles from the beach, one of the greatest advantages of booking a meeting at an airport hotel is the proximity to Hollywood Park. Venues like the all-new SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater and Kia Forum are very close. Airport hotels also offer flexible meeting space ranging from small board rooms to 30,000 square foot ballrooms.

DTLA HOTELS

The pulsating heart of the city’s core, Downtown LA’s renaissance has created a walkable, dynamic urban center featuring scores of new and refreshed hotels. Downtown is home to world-class museums, concert halls, theatres and critically acclaimed restaurants. With rapidly expanding public transit options, thriving nightlife and art scene and countless new shops and boutiques, Downtown is a thrilling setting for meetings and events.

GO BEHIND THE SCENES IN HOLLYWOOD

Like many studios in Los Angeles, Warner Bros. Studios Special Events offers a full-service department providing support for occasions such as corporate meetings, trade shows, product launches, teambuilding activities, weddings, holiday galas, social and charity events at the world’s busiest film and television studio.  From an intimate retreat to an extravaganza for 10,000, LA studios offer a variety of options for events.

HOTEL MOVIE MAGIC

As the Entertainment Capital of the World, Los Angeles has long been associated with the glitz and glam of movie magic. Whether you’re looking to host a private screening or treat your guests to a fun movie night, these LA hotels have you covered.

EXPOSITION PARK

The eyes of the world turned to Exposition Park for the 1932 Olympic Games. The 160-acre park — home to gardens, museums, and world-class venues — has stayed in the spotlight ever since. The LA Memorial Coliseum has hosted two Olympic opening ceremonies, two Super Bowls, and countless concerts, sporting events, and other performances. The newly constructed BMO Stadium is the home of the Los Angeles Football Club and Angel City Football Club. Take to the field for an unparalleled experience pre-equipped with light and audio rigging, or book one of thirty-five exclusive suites. For those who want to work culture and history into their visits, Exposition Park is also home to the Natural History Museum, the Rose Garden, the California Science Center (where you can see the space shuttle Endeavour), and the California African American Museum. Not to mention, the Lucas Museum is on the way.

THE SHRINE

With its Moorish Revival–style architecture, The Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall has been welcoming guests for more than a century, including several decades of Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys audiences. An adjacent split-level hall offers 54,000 square feet of space for concerts, festivals, and vendor exhibitions.
