Overview

Aren't we all in need of a getaway that's as easy on our wallets as it is on our soul? LA has what you need. Spend some time outside, look at art, eat tacos, discover new things. Here are some suggestions on how to fill your days with fun that doesn't cost you.

Day 1

Sand, sun, ocean air. Let's not waste any time getting to the beach. Venice, that is. Have breakfast, rent a bike and head to the Santa Monica Pier - yes, there's arcade games. Then, hike to an abandoned ranch, find peace at the Self-Realization Shrine, and nosh on beach bites at a favorite hangout of The Doors.

Coffee and culture is a great way to begin your day, DTLA. Then, head to Hollywood for a hike and lunch on the trail at Trails Cafe. Discover hidden gems like the lush Amir's Garden and Ferndell Nature Museum. Head to Hollywood Forever Cemetery for film nostalgia and a movie, but don't forget to bring the tacos.
