The 39th Annual Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show and Sale

The 39th Annual Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show and Sale
Presented by the Long Beach Cactus Club, the Los Angeles Cactus and Succulent Society, and the San Gabriel Valley Cactus and Succulent Society
Often described as the Comic-Con of the cactus world, the Inter-City Cactus and Succulent Show and Sale is the premier event for plant enthusiasts, collectors, and the curious alike. This year’s show will feature more than 1,000 exceptional specimens from six continents, showcasing the breathtaking diversity of cacti and succulents.
Sale: August 15–17 | Show: August 16–17
Both events run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, 301 N Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA.
The sales area will feature thousands of rare and specialty plants from over two dozen vendors from across the country. It’s an unparalleled opportunity to purchase plants not typically available in nurseries—ideal for collectors seeking the unique and hard-to-find. Beginners are also welcome and will benefit from expert guidance on plant selection and care.
“Our show and competition highlight rare, exotic, and mature specimens you won’t find anywhere else,” says Event Chair Gunnar Eisel. “A panel of distinguished judges will evaluate the exhibits and award trophies to the most outstanding entries.”
Educational Opportunities:
Free “Walks and Talks” led by seasoned experts will cover topics such as propagation, seed growing, potting techniques, and staging for show. These sessions offer valuable insights for both novices and experienced growers.
Community & Connection:
Attendees will also enjoy connecting with a vibrant community of fellow enthusiasts, sharing stories, tips, and a deep appreciation for the world of succulents and cacti.
Admission:
Admission to the show and sale is free, but advance Arboretum admission or membership is required for entry to the grounds.
