Hello, Dolly! @ Academy Museum (February 4)
Directed by Gene Kelly and starring Barbra Streisand, the 1969 big screen adaptation of musical Hello, Dolly! is as memorable for its art direction and costumes as it is for its songs. See it in the David Geffen Theater at Academy Museum on Wednesday, February 4, with special guests Academy Governor Eduardo Castro and CEO of The Collection of Motion Picture Costume Design Larry McQueen. 

Parks & Rec Galentine’s Day Mini-Marathon @ Rooftop Cinema Club (February 5)
Plan a girls’ night out for Thursday, February 5, when Rooftop Cinema Club throws a Parks and Rec Galentine’s Day Mini-Marathon. Catch four episodes with your pals, including “Galentine’s Day,” while sipping hot chocolate in front of a wood-burning heater. 

Nadja @ Philosophical Research Society (February 6 & 8)
Nadja, the 1994 arthouse vampire movie directed by Michael Almereyda and executive produced by David Lynch, was recently restored from its 35 mm answer print, giving audience’s the chance to see the original Director’s Cut. Catch it at Philosophical Research Society on Friday, February 6 or Sunday, February 8. 

Always For Pleasure/Yum, Yum, Yum! @ Billy Wilder Theater at Hammer Museum (February 6)
UCLA Film & Television Archive presents Always for Pleasure and Yum, Yum, Yum!, two documentaries focused on Cajun and Creole cooking, on Saturday, February 6, with famed chef Alice Waters on hand for a Q&A moderated by film critic Scott Foundas. Admission is free and there are no advanced tickets for this screening in the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum.

First Fridays @ Natural History Museum (February 6)
Natural History Museum celebrates 20 years of bridging nightlife and education with the return of First Fridays on February 6. “Life at the Human Scale” is the theme for this month’s talk and Jay Som headlines the music portion of the night, which will also include DJ sets from Novena Carmel and Wyldeflower. 

Wild Up: The Great Learning @ The Broad (February 7)
GRAMMY nominated collective Wild Up invites 30 non-musicians to perform Cornelius Cardew’s The Great Learning, Paragraphs 2 and 7 with them at The Broad on Saturday, February 7. The concert coincides with the museum’s current exhibition, Robert Therrien: This Is a Story.

English dance pop singer Jade scored a critical and commercial hit last year with her debut album That’s Showbiz, Baby! Catch her tour when it hits the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, February 2. 

Tarek Yamani Trip @ 2220 Arts + Archives (February 3)
Beirut-born, Berlin-based pianist Tarek Yamani stops by 2220 Arts + Archives on Tuesday, February 3 to play from a repertoire that includes classical Arabic music, jazz standards and original works. 

Mother @ Lodge Room (February 3)
Mother, the touring series of shows that bring together singers and storytellers who are mothers, lands at the Lodge Room on Tuesday, February 3. Featuring performances from Caitlyn Smith, Lucie Silvas, Jillian Jacqueline, Mary Steenburgen and more. 

GZA w/live Band @ Blue Note L.A. (February 4)
GZA heads to Blue Note Los Angeles on Wednesday, February 4, where he’ll play the first of two nights at the jazz venue. Joined by a live band, the hip-hop icon will be performing his influential 1995 album Liquid Swords. GZA is set to play two sets, one at 7 p.m. and one at 9:30 p.m., on both Wednesday and Thursday night. 

Say She She @ Belasco (February 5)
Say She She earned critical acclaim for their latest album, Cut & Rewind, released late last year. Now the disco vocal powerhouse brings their current tour to Los Angeles. Catch them at the Belasco on Thursday, February 5. 

Idaho @ Zebulon (February 6)
It’s been a busy couple years for slowcore greats Idaho, who, since 2024, have released their first new album in over a decade, were the subject of the documentary Traces of Glory and have toured the U.S. and Europe. The band plays their first show of this year at Zebulon on Friday, February 6. 

Tchaikovsky, Ades @ Walt Disney Concert Hall (February 6-8)
Thomas Adès conducts the L.A. Philharmonic, with Yuja Wang on piano, for a program that includes Tchaikovsky’s Francesca da Rimini, Op.32, as well as work from Prokofiev and Adès himself. Opening the night will be the U.S. premiere of L.A. Phil commission Man with Limp Wrist by William Marsey. Performances are scheduled for Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8 at Walt Disney Concert Hall

She Past Away, Forever Grey, Soft Vein @ The Novo (February 7)
Turkish post-punk duo She Past Away headlines The Novo on Saturday, February 7. Plan to arrive early to check out the melancholic synth sounds of Soft Vein and see local darkwave faves Forever Grey. 

Drink the Sea @ Lodge Room (February 7)
Featuring members of R.E.M., Screaming Trees and Them Crooked Vultures, Drink the Sea released their debut double album last year and will be on the road through February, with a stop at the Lodge Room set for Saturday, February 7. 


Taeko Onuki @ The Wiltern (February 7)
Japanese singer-songwriter Taeko Onuki first came to acclaim during the late 1970s and early 1980s and has been garnering new generations of fans with songs like jazzy disco heater “4:00 a.m.” She’ll be the first to play The Wiltern’s new concert series, City Pop Waves. Catch her on Saturday, February 7.

Drop-in Workshop: Animation Inspired by Ponyo @ Academy Museum (February 7)
Studio Ghibili’s PONYO, the Academy Museum’s latest exhibition, doesn’t open until Valentine’s Day, but, on Saturday, February 7, families are invited to drop in to the Shirley Temple Education Studio to learn how to make their own stop-motion animations inspired by the 2008 film. The workshop is free with general admission to the Academy Museum.

Pete Rock @ Lodge Room (February 4)
Pete Rock, the DJ and producer who has worked with everyone from Mary J. Blige to Kendrick Lamar, takes to the decks at Lodge Room on Wednesday, February 4. Warming up the crowd will be local Monalisa, playing a special J Dilla tribute set. Meet & Greet tickets are also available for this show. 

Eats Everything @ Academy LA (February 7)
Eats Everything, whose 2025 album, We Lost Ourselves and Found a Family, brought together collaborators like MJ Cole, Paul Oakenfold and Kerri Chandler, plays Academy L.A. on Saturday, February 7. Catch the English DJ/producer with support from Murphy’s Law and Ruze.

Clippers vs. 76ers @ Intuit Dome (February 2)
The Clippers play the first of two home games on Monday, February 2, when they take on Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. Catch them again at Intuit Dome on Wednesday, February 4, for their 7:30 p.m. match up against Cleveland Cavaliers. 

Kings vs. Seattle Kraken @ Crypto.com Arena (February 4)
It’s Hello Kitty Night at Crypto on Wednesday, February 4, with a special paper crown giveaway for the first 10,000 fans to enter the arena for the Kings game against Seattle Kraken. 

Lakers vs. 76ers @ Crypto.com Arena (February 5)
Lakers take on the Philadelphia 76s at Crypto on Thursday, February 5, for the first of two home games this week. Catch them again on Saturday, February 7 when they play Golden State Warriors.

Sylvia Sylvia Sylvia @ Geffen Playhouse (February 4 - March 8)
In Sylvia Sylvia Sylvia, a struggling novelist tries to find inspiration in Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes’ former apartment. The award-winning play written by Beth Hyland, makes its world premiere at Geffen Playhouse on Wednesday, February 4, where it will run until March 8.

Kristen Schaal’s The Legend of Crystal Shell @ Dynasty Typewriter (February 4 and 6)
Kristen Schaal brings her latest show, The Legend of Crystal Shell, to Dynasty Typewriter on Wednesday, February 4, and Friday, February 6, which co-stars Schaal’s Bob’s Burger castmate John Roberts and features music by Big Black Delta.
