Overview

With hundreds of hiking trails and wide open parks across the city, Los Angeles is one of the best cities for hanging with your four-legged friend. Restaurants and bars are dog-friendly, too - many offer water bowls and doggie treats for your pup. Ready to add to your furry family? Book a session at a dog or cat cafe and you might meet your new bestie.

NOTE: Hours and opening dates change frequently. Check individual websites for updated information.

Day 1

Start with breakfast in Venice and a coastal drive to Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu. After lunch at celeb favorite Gjelina, cat lovers can spend an hour in "purradise" while doggies head to Kenneth Hahn Park. Enjoy a French inspired dinner at Simonette, then pick a winner at the famous turtle races at Brennan's.
