What’s Next in Los Angeles

Los Angeles is revving up for an electrifying 2026, filled with new experiences across culinary, cultural, and entertainment fronts. The year will kick off with Winter Dine LA, returning January 23 to February 6, 2026. In the arts, LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries will open in April 2026, unveiling a reimagined campus designed by Peter Zumthor. In Exposition Park, the much-anticipated Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is slated to open in 2026, offering an immersive exploration of visual storytelling across art, film, and popular culture. On the attractions front, Universal Studios Hollywood is gearing up to unveil Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, its first-ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster, promising an adrenaline-pumping experience. Additionally, the highly-anticipated LAX Automated People Mover will debut in 2026, providing seamless, eco-friendly connections between airport terminals, car rental facilities, and public transportation via Metro. These developments make Los Angeles an unmissable destination for travelers seeking cutting-edge experiences in 2026.

FIFA World Cup 26 Ticket Sales Open Now: Begin Your World Cup Journey in Los Angeles

Los Angeles will take center stage globally with the FIFA World Cup 2026, with SoFi Stadium hosting eight matches, including the U.S. Men’s National Team opener on June 12, 2026. Los Angeles Tourism & Kind Traveler Partnership Turns Stays into Community Support

Los Angeles Tourism is proud to partner with Kind Traveler on its Every Stay Gives Back program, supporting The Change Reaction’s Wildfire Direct Giving Fund. 

Now through January 2026, travelers staying at one of ten leading Los Angeles hotels, including some of the city’s most celebrated luxury properties, will see a $1 per night donation seamlessly added to their room bill. Every dollar collected is donated in full to directly support wildfire recovery efforts through The Change Reaction. 

This initiative showcases how Los Angeles’ world-class hotels are stepping forward as leaders in responsible tourism, demonstrating that every stay can leave a legacy of kindness. LA Tourism’s Regional Director of North America, Tamy Martelli, shares her go-to destinations for a day well spent in the heart of the Valley. 

  • Start your day at Descanso Gardens, a 150-acre botanical oasis nestled in La Cañada Flintridge. From November 16 to January 4, the gardens transform into the Enchanted Forest of Light, featuring a one mile walk through immersive, interactive light installations set against the backdrop of ancient oaks and seasonal blooms. 
  • Afterward, head to The Garland, a retro-chic hotel in North Hollywood. Dine at The Front Yard, their cozy, tree-shaded patio restaurant, offering a menu inspired by California’s diverse food culture. Don’t miss the boutique gift shop that offers a selection of locally sourced and California-inspired items, including specialty cookbooks, travel essentials, and unique gifts.
