Free Meals at Los Angeles Restaurants on Veterans Day

On Veterans Day, popular restaurant chains are offering free and discounted meals to veterans and active military with valid ID or proof of service. Unless otherwise noted, the following restaurant deals are available for dine-in only on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.

Applebee’s: For the 12th year, participating locations are offering veterans and active duty military a free full-size entree from a Veterans Day menu featuring seven fan favorites.

BJ's: Veterans and active military can enjoy a free entree up to $14.95 and a free Dr. Pepper.

Black Angus: For $9.99, veterans and active duty military can enjoy the "All American Steak Plate" including an 8 oz. Certified Angus Beef® Top Sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli with garlic butter, and a non-alcoholic beverage.

California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active military are invited to enjoy a complimentary entrée from a special Veterans Day menu at all participating restaurants. Entrée options include pizzas, pastas and full-size salads. Offer includes a non-alcoholic beverage.

Chili's: Veterans and active military receive a free entree from a limited menu that includes Oldtimer with Cheese, Chicken Crispers, Margarita Grilled Chicken, Cajun Chicken Pasta and more. Proof of military service required.

Denny’s: All active, non-active and retired military personnel are invited to enjoy a free Build Your Own Grand Slam at participating Denny’s from 5 a.m. to noon. Diners can customize their Grand Slam, which includes four breakfast items such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs cooked to order, bacon strips, buttermilk biscuits or hash browns.

Dunkin' Donuts: Participating locations nationwide are serving a sweet salute to veterans and active duty military: a free donut of their choice on Veterans Day. No purchase necessary. Limit one per customer, while supplies last. Offer available in-store only. Not available for orders placed with the Dunkin’ Mobile App. The first 50 veterans and active military at participating locations will also receive a thank you card written by members of the community from A Million Thanks.

Fogo de Chao: Veterans and active duty military will receive a 50% discount off their entire meal on Veterans Day Weekend, from Friday to Monday, November 8-11. Up to three of their guests will receive a 10% discount.

Gordon Biersch: Located in Burbank, the brewery restaurant will offer veterans and active duty military a free entrée from a Veterans Day menu. 25 cents of every pint of Veterans IPA sold from November 11-17 will be donated to a local veterans charity.

Hooters: Veterans and active duty military personnel can enjoy a free entrée from the Veterans Day menu with beverage purchase at any participating location across the country. Hooters also invites guests to participate in the annual Operation Calendar Drop program by purchasing a 2020 Hooters Calendar and including a message of appreciation and support for the troops.

IHOP: Participating IHOP restaurants across the country are offering a free breakfast combo or a free stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes – buttermilk pancakes topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping – for veterans and active duty military.

Joe's Crab Shack: Veterans and active military receive 20% off their bill at this Redondo Beach favorite.

Mimi's Bistro + Bakery: With the purchase of a beverage, veterans and active military will receive a complimentary entrée from a select breakfast, lunch or dinner menu. Options include Fried Chicken & Waffles, Brioche French Toast, Four Buttermilk Griddlecakes, Slow-Roasted Turkey, Brioche Cheeseburger, or Mandarin Chicken Salad.

Outback Steakhouse: As part of Outback's partnership with Operation Homefront, active and former service members will receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on Veterans Day. Outback is also offering 20% off the total check from November 8 to November 11 for military, police, firefighters, and first responders with a valid ID. The 10% Heroes Discount is available all year.

Red Lobster: Veterans, active duty military and reservists get a free appetizer or dessert from a special Veterans Day menu. Offerings may vary by location.

Rock & Brews: Veterans, active military personnel and first responders get a free Pulled Pork Sandwich or Strawberry Fields Salad. One sandwich or salad per person at participating locations.

Starbucks: Active duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses will get a free Tall Brewed Coffee. Also on Veterans Day, a portion of every cup of brewed coffee sold will be donated to nonprofit organizations Team RWB and Team Rubicon. For more info, visit Starbucks Stories & News.
