Described by the Daily Mail as "the most exciting new project in Major League Soccer," Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) kicked off its inaugural season on March 4, 2018 with a 1-0 win against Seattle Sounders FC. LAFC celebrated the grand opening of its new home, the $350-million Banc of California Stadium, by defeating Sounders FC 1-0 on April 29. LAFC accomplished the best regular season for an MLS expansion team (57 points) and reached the playoffs.
LAFC kicked off its second season on March 3, 2019, beating Sporting Kansas City 2-1. After breaking the MLS single-season points record, LAFC clinched the 2019 Supporters’ Shield, along with a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the MLS Cup Playoffs. The Club finished the year atop the league standings with 72 points (21-4-9 record). LAFC begins its 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs campaign on Thursday, October 24 against the Galaxy at Banc of California Stadium. The Western Conference Semifinal will be the first-ever postseason meeting between LAFC and the Galaxy.

Banc of California Stadium
Located adjacent to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Exposition Park, the 22,000-seat Banc of California Stadium is the first open-air stadium built in the city since Dodger Stadium in 1962. During the L.A. 2028 Summer Olympics, the Stadium will host men's and women's soccer matches.
The state-of-the-art "Cathedral of Soccer" boasts numerous amenities:

The Banc of California Box Office is located at the Northwest corner of the Stadium, open Monday–Friday from 9am-5pm. Hours are extended to accommodate the needs of specific events. The Banc of California Stadium is easily accessible using the Metro Expo Line at the Expo Park/USC Station. From the station, walk along Kinsey Drive or Victory Walk to South Coliseum Drive towards the Stadium. The Expo Line can be accessed with connections at the 7th Street/Metro Center in Downtown L.A. to the Metro Red/Purple Lines; and at the Pico Station to the Metro Blue Line. Fans using the Metro Gold Line can transfer at Union Station to the Metro Red/Purple lines for a connection to the Expo Line.

LAFC has partnered with Lyft as the official rideshare partner. An enhanced Lyft pick-up and drop-off designated location will be available for fans on match days, located right outside the Southeast Entrance in Parking Lot 6.
Clear Bag Policy
Banc of California Stadium has a Clear Bag Policy in order to provide a safer environment for fans and will consequently also expedite entry into the Stadium. The policy affects the type and size of the bags permitted into the Stadium, not the items (keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets, etc.). Guests will also be allowed to openly carry a blanket or jacket into the Stadium, although they will be subject to being searched.
