LA Pride Parade & Village (June 8)

Stepping off at 11am on Sunday, June 8, the 55th Annual LA Pride Parade welcomes its 2025 Grand Marshals: Vanguard Grand Marshals Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts, Celebrity Grand Marshal Andrew Rannells, and Community Grand Marshals Trino Garcia and Adam Vasquez, aka “TrinoxAdam.”

Centered on the theme "Pride Marches On," the parade route will run north from Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue to Hollywood Boulevard; head east and turn south on Cahuenga; and end at Sunset.

But wait, there's more! Previously known as the "Block Party," the LA Pride Village is a free street festival that features programming on two stages, over 100 vendors, exhibitors, sponsors and food choices, two full service bars, and an exclusive section for Queer Mercado. On the 360-degree Community Gower Stage, the epic “Ballroom Battle” will feature the Houses of Miyake Mugler, Ninja and Gorgeous Gucci, who will compete in front of celebrity judges like Margaret Cho!

Amplified: Music and the Mind - Natural History Museum (June 6)

June's theme for the Natural History Museum’s First Fridays series is Amplified: Music and the Mind. Susan Rogers, PhD, a neuroscientist and legendary music engineer (Prince’s Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Parade, Sign o' the Times) will discuss the subject in the Commons Theater with Dr. Yewande Pearse. Ha Vay and Nymphlord are scheduled to play live, while Glenn Red and Jen Rock will be your DJs. Look for a sound bath, drum circle and more activities in this evening event.

"Dirty Dancing" - Skirball Cultural Center (June 6)

Pack your bags, don your best resort wear, and venture to a Catskills oasis at the Skirball Cultural Center! With food, drinks, music and dancing, come celebrate inherited and imagined memories of Jewish resorts in the new exhibition Away in the Catskills: Summers, Sour Cream, and Dirty Dancing by Marisa J. Futernick—which features a series of fifteen prints capturing the pleasure and freedom that families like Futernick’s experienced in the Catskills.

Taking place on Friday, June 6, this fun-filled event features:

  • Dina's Dumpling and Habibi Shack food trucks
  • An outdoor screening of Dirty Dancing (1987)
  • Drag bingo led by Miss Barbie-Q
  • Twist dance lessons by BODYTRAFFIC

Kitty Bungalow 15th Anniversary PURRR-ROM (June 7)

Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats is turning 15! To celebrate, Kitty Bungalow is throwing PURRR-ROM at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Feliz on Saturday, June 7. The totally tubular party features music guests The Spazmatics; The Purr Room, an immersive black cat installation by artist and cat-friend Gary Baseman; a raffle, an art show from IHHS students, tarot readings, school photos, claw machines, plenty of adoptable kittens to meet and cuddle and much more!

Angel City FC Pride Night (June 7)

Angel City FC celebrates Pride Night at BMO Stadium on Saturday, June 7, when they host the Chicago Stars. $5 of every ticket sold will go to LA Pride; the gate giveaway is a Pride bandana; and the Fan Fest starts at 3pm.

Exotikon 3 - Mayan Theatre (June 7-8)

The third annual Exotikon Music & Arts Festival is taking place at the historic Mayan Theatre in Downtown LA on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. The celebration of mid-20th century art and culture brings together everything from tiki to psychedelia in one weekend. Saturday features a rare live performance from The Residents of their 1979 album, Eskimo!, as well as exotica masters Creepxotica. Sunday’s lineup includes the Satanic Puppeteer Orchestra, The Scimitars, Marty Lush and the Singapore Slingers, burlesque dancers and more.

Hollywood Bowl Opening Night (June 7)

The Hollywood Bowl officially opens for its 2025 season on Saturday, June 7 with a concert featuring Hugh Jackman accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra conducted by Thomas Wilkins and fireworks. VIP packages are available for this special event.

Puppetry and Pride - Academy Museum (June 7-21)

June’s Drop-in Workshop for Families highlights puppetry! Puppetry has been a staple in filmmaking for iconic characters like the Muppets, variations of Pinocchio, and is often featured in stop-motion animation. Stop by the Shirley Temple Education Studio to design and create your own Pride puppet with a unique look and personality to highlight the themes of love and embracing each other’s differences. The free, all-ages workshops will take place from 12:30pm to 2:30pm on Saturday, June 7, 14 and 21.

Venice Pride Block Party (June 7)

The Venice Pride Block Party is a FREE, inclusive celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, taking place at 99 Windward Ave. near the iconic Venice Sign from 4pm to 11pm on Saturday, June 7.
