Raise a glass to 2019 and dance the night away to world-class DJs! Read on for our guide to New Year’s Eve events taking place at L.A.’s top bars, lounges and dance clubs. All events are 21 and over unless otherwise noted.

Go Metro: all Metro Rail lines, plus Orange and Silver Lines, will run 24 hours on New Year's Eve with free fares from 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Jeffrey Sutorius - Exchange LA

Spanning 25,000 square feet and four floors in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles, Exchange LA features a Funktion One Res. III sound system and 200 square-foot LED screen display with more than 1.25 million bulbs. On New Year's Eve, veteran L.A. promoter Insomniac presents an extended set by Jeffrey Sutorius (formerly known as Dash Berlin), who will take the crowd on an audio journey from 2018 into 2019 with support from Nick Ledesma and ANDR3X.

Tickets available at Eventbrite. General admission is $45. VIP tickets are $125 and include express entry, VIP mezzanine access, three premium cocktails, plus unlimited Red Bull and water until 2 a.m. Doors at 10 p.m.

Belasco Theater


The Belasco Theater on Hill Street in DTLA is a multi-purpose entertainment complex, featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting and more than 40,000 square feet of event space. On NYE Minimal Effort presents an extended set by Sasha, Skream, Justin Jay, Will Clarke, YokoO, Layton Giordani, option4, Human Resources, Hats&Klaps, Jonnie King, VNSSA and many more DJs. Eight hours of music, five stages, Funktion One sound, LED light installations, live painting, vendors, food and more. General Admission tickets start at $79, with VIP and table packages available. 8pm to 4am, 21 and over.

Located beneath the streets of Downtown L.A., The Edison presents its annual New Year's Eve Ball, an immersive entertainment experience that features multiple themed areas to explore - the Lab performance space, The Ember Parlour, Telegraph Lounge, The Patent Office, The Tesla Lounge, The Radio Room, and the Waterfront Patio.

Tickets to the New Year's Eve Ball are $150 and include tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, live-action food stations and a wide selection of beer, wine and premium spirits from 7:30 p.m until midnight; plus, a selection of coffee, desserts and a celebratory midnight toast to ring in the new year. Doors at 7:30 p.m.

The Varnish

The Varnish

Hidden in the back of Cole's French Dip, The Varnish is hosting a disco-themed party with table service starting at 9pm. Table service includes: cocktails, beer, wine, and select sipping spirits; midnight champagne service, snacks, Cole's French Dip, and a late night snack. Get your groove on for 2019 with special guest DJ Max Maxey playing Disco vinyl favorites all night! Tickets are now on sale at Eventbrite. Pricing for a table for 2 is $350; table of 4 is $700; and $1,050 for a group of 6. Walk-ins for standing room are available on a first come, first served basis. Beverages will be served a la carte.

Seven Grand Masquerade Celebration

Downtown L.A.'s whisk(e)y mecca, Seven Grand is hosting the annual NYE Masquerade Celebration from 8pm to 2am. Dress up in your favorite masquerade outfit and masks and enjoy a special New Year's Eve menu. No cover.

The annual No Cover New Year's at Angel City Brewery has become an Arts District holiday tradition. Enjoy specialty cellared beers on tap, Midnight Toast with Bir Royale Champagne Beer, and food available for purchase by Downtown Taco Co. Doors open at 4pm, live music by The Vignes Rooftop Revival starts at 9pm. No Cover New Year's is a free event (of course).


Ring in 2019 at Clifton's Republic, which will take guests on a celebration of history, imagination and magic. The New Year's Eve Ball at the Crystal Forest invites guests to explore four floors of Clifton's Republic, which will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland. General Admission is $75 and includes a coupe of Champagne, available at any bar throughout the evening. Priced at $125, the Crystal Buffet ticket includes entry to the Winter Wonderland and access to the Crystal Buffet from 8-10pm within the Forest Glenn. VIP Reserved is $250 and includes TWO guest entries to the NYE Ball as well as a reserved table and one bottle of Perrier Jouet Champagne. The Clifton's reservations team will reach out to you after your ticket purchase to review additional options, including location preference (Brookdale Ballroom, Tree Tops Lounge, Gothic Bar or Pacific Seas Tiki Room). Honeycut closes out 2018 with Champagne Supernova: Aught Rock Edition. The Mojito Boys will be spinning all your favorite 2000s hits, hip hop, and guilty pleasures in the Disco and leading the countdown to 2019. This will be the last New Year's Eve Champagne Supernova at this location, so don't miss it! General Admission is $80 and includes an open bar plus white and pink bubbly flowing like water all night. Only 100 tickets will be available, and they're on sale now at Eventbrite.

For table/bottle service, the group minimum is four guests at $100 per person. Each table will receive a bottle of Moët & Chandon for every two guests, or a magnum for every four guests. E-mail for more information.


Located on Spring Street in Downtown L.A., Beelman’s serves plant-based pub food, tropical cocktails and craft beers. Beelman's is hosting a Tiki New Year's Eve Party, featuring cocktail specials and a Champagne Toast at Midnight. The $50 VIP Package includes an open bar with draft beer, wine by the glass, and well spirits.

The Streamliner

Newly opened at historic Union Station, The Streamliner is "Rocketing Into the Future" with its first New Year's Eve celebration. The Streamliner offers an innovative cocktail program with classics on tap in an updated 1940s lounge. Table reservations for up to four guests are available at Eventbrite for $250. The reservation includes a bottle of champagne for the table and a seafood platter compliments of Imperial Western Beer Company.


Located at the landmark Hotel Normandie in Koreatown, The Normandie Club and its hidden back bar, The Walker Inn are hosting a New Year's Eve party from 6pm-1am. Priced at $100, Eventbrite tickets include open bar, food, and a midnight champagne toast. Table reservations:


Big Bar in Los Feliz is once again hosting New Year's Eve X10, with cocktails, countdowns and playlists from around the world. Starting at 3 p.m. in the Eurozone, guests will “travel” across nine other time zones to ring in 2019 on the hour with ten international cocktails and themed playlists. In previous years, guests were gifted passports, postcards, and even a world map to commemorate their global tour. No cover.

The Satellite in Silver Lake presents a Candi Pop Dance Party littered with all of your guilty pleasures - glitter, lollipops, rainbows and unicorns. From 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., DJs will be spinning bubblegum pop hits from the '90s to the 21st century: Britney Spears, Spice Girls, *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, One Direction, NKOTB, Hanson, Jonas Brothers and more. Presale tickets are $15, admission is $20 cash at the door.

Mohawk Bend

Silver Lake favorite, Mohawk Bend is hosting a no-cover New Year's Eve gathering from 9pm to 1am, featuring a live set by DJ HENRYTHA17TH, Champagne Toast at midnight, 70 California craft beers on tap, photobooth and more. Open Bar Packages are available for $49 at Eventbrite and include unlimited selections of craft beer, well spirits, and wine by the glass from 9pm to midnight.

Midnight in Paris - Pour Vous

Pour Vous offers a dark and sexy setting for Midnight in Paris, taking place from 9pm to 2am. Step through the velvet curtains and enjoy burlesque and aerial performances, DJ William Reed and special guests, absinthe bar, creperie, photo booth, champagne toast, balloon drop and more. RSVP required, proper attire is a must: cocktail, black tie, period (1920s, '30s, '40s etc), Mad Men, Prohibition, Old Hollywood, Great Gatsby et al. Tickets are $10 at Eventbrite.


Formerly known as Union, Catch One pays homage to its legendary history as Jewel's Catch One with its new/old name. Presented by Afro Gogo and Fayah Sundays, Pandemonium is an international New Year's Eve party with reggae, dancehall and afrobeats. Tickets include complimentary food and champagne.


Part of the 1933 Group, Bar Harlowe presents "Harlowewoodland," a Prohibition Era party with Golden Age Hollywood style. Ticket options range from Luck Be a Single Lady ($89) to numerous VIP tickets with expedited entry, gourmet passed hors d'ouervres, and complimentary midnight champagne toast. Late arrivals can enjoy 90 minutes of open bar after 12:30am for $29.

MARKUS SCHULZ - Avalon Hollywood

Located on Vine Street, Avalon Hollywood features award-winning sound and lighting, two rooms of music with multiple plush VIP areas, and is the only club in Hollywood open until 8 a.m. German Trance legend Markus Schulz returns to Avalon Hollywood with another Open to Close set on New Year’s Eve. Widely regarded for releases on Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Records and recent hits “Running Up That Hill” and “The New World” as well as countless remixes for Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, and many other big-name artists, Schulz has established himself as a household name within the trance music scene. Early arrival discounted tickets are priced at $70 and guarantee entry before 11 p.m. VIP tickets are $150 and include premium open bar until 2 a.m. Doors at 10 p.m., 21 and over.


Formerly known as Create, the newly renovated Academy LA is multi-purpose space located in the heart of Hollywood that features open floor plans, state-of-the-art production, full kitchen and outdoor patio. On New Year's Eve, Insomniac welcomes Afrojack, the Dutch DJ and producer who has ascended to the forefront of the global dance music scene. Eventbrite tickets are $65 for General Admission and $125 for VIP including express entry, complimentary coat check, and three premium cocktails.

Sound Nightclub Hollywood

With a mix of modern décor and industrial design, Sound Nightclub boasts a state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system, 3-D projection mapping and multiple full-service bars. Close out 2018 with a dark techno twist when Sound presents iconic Mau5trap artist, BlackGummy, with support from melodic techno artist, Rinzen; recent Mau5trap signee and Sound resident, Anakim; and Lauren Mia. Good Times at Davey Wayne’s

Inspired by their dad's groovy bachelor pad, the Houston brothers opened Good Times at Davey Wayne's, which presents its annual 1970s style house party with DJ Prince Spectre, live music by the Good Times Boys, backyard BBQ, and a Miller High Life toast to ring in the New Year. General Admission is $35.

Located in the heart of the bustling Cahuenga Corridor, Station1640 is a premier cultural nightclub and Hollywood staple. Station1640 features a design inspired by the underground subways of New York City with an artistic takeover by some of L.A.'s most notable graffiti artists, who installed murals throughout the venue.

Now in its fifth year, MASSIVE features a five-hour premium open bar, two rooms of music featuring SoCal DJs and live performances, and multiple areas to mingle. MASSIVE is taking place from 8pm to 2am, "dress to impress." White Party-style attire strongly suggested. Tickets at Eventbrite.

Step into 2019 at the Black & White Masquerade Ball, taking place at The Abbey and The Chapel at The Abbey. General Admission tickets to the Black & White Masquerade Ball are $25. To avoid long lines on New Year's Eve, The Abbey strongly recommends picking up your wristbands at The Abbey Tuesday-Friday from 11am to 6pm.

Bar Clacson

Bar Clacson presents “Enchantment Under the Sea,” a NYE party inspired by the classic scene from the original Back to the Future. Enjoy live music, champagne & oysters combo special (7-10pm), complimentary Pigs In a Blanket after midnight, and special cocktails at the bar, which will be decked out just like the climactic Hill Valley High School dance.
