Go Metro: all Metro Rail lines, plus Orange and Silver Lines, will run 24 hours on New Year's Eve with free fares from 9 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2019 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2020.

N.Y.E.L.A. - Grand Park + The Music Center Plaza



For the eighth year, Grand Park + The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. will be the go-to central gathering place in Los Angeles as the West Coast’s flagship New Year’s celebration! Free for all ages and expanded to include The Music Center Plaza, this unique civic event brings Angelenos and visitors from around the globe together to usher in 2020 at L.A.’s biggest music and dance party. Starring some of L.A.’s best DJs and bands, N.Y.E.L.A. will also feature its signature 3-D video projection and light show on the side of the landmark City Hall with pyrotechnics to ring in the New Year. Party-goers will also enjoy an array of food trucks on-site serving up various culinary delights available for purchase.

N.Y.E.L.A. takes place from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 1, 2020. Admission is free. N.Y.E.L.A. is a family-friendly and alcohol-free event - there will be no on-site beer garden or point of purchase. Outside food is permitted in backpacks or totes. No outside beverages including juice and soda.

The Theatre at Ace Hotel presents Gilded, featuring DJ sets from Project Pablo, Ash Lauryn, Cooper Saver and Jen Ferrer on deck spinning disco, house, funk, soul and boogie. General Admission tickets for the confetti-fueled Dance Party (9:30pm–2:00am) are $35 advance, and $50 at the door. The $200 VIP Ticket includes access to a VIP open bar on the theatre mezzanine with a night of dancing in the sparkling temple to the arts. The Dinner & Dance Party ($200) includes a three-course meal served family style on long tables on stage, plus wine pairing. Doors at 7:30pm, dinner seating at 8pm, with the dance party starting at 9:30pm.

For the third year in a row, the Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese will present her annual New Year’s Eve Gala show at the magnificent Orpheum Theatre in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Prohibition NYE - Union Station



Welcome to the New Roaring Twenties! Now in its eighth year, Prohibition NYE will return to the iconic Union Station in Downtown LA and revive the excitement and glamour of that fabulous decade. Portugal-born and Portland-based Grammy Award Winner RAC will take the main stage at the midnight hour to perform an energetic, heart-pumping DJ set. Support from LA's own DJ Gadachy, MDA DJs, along with jazz ensemble Lyndsay & The All Nighters, and burlesque performances from the renowned Concrete Entertainment. Prohibition NYE also features a premium open bar and the signature 60-foot, midnight ball-drop celebration.

Prohibition NYE starts at 9 p.m. and is a 21 and over event. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear formal attire (black tie optional) and women are encouraged to wear gowns or Roaring Twenties era attire. General Admission tickets and VIP tables are on sale at Eventbrite.

Carnaval 2020 - Conga Room



Located at L.A. LIVE in Downtown LA, the Conga Room presents Carnaval 2020 with a live show! The club boasts three rooms to keep you dancing all night. The main room features Reggaeton, Cumbia, Punta, Top 40 and Spanish Rock. Two additional rooms include the Bachata Room, which plays nothing but the best Bachata, Salsa, and Merengue hits; and the Regional Room, featuring banda, Corridos, Norteñas, Quebraditas and Zapatia. The Conga Room also offers multiple rooms with stocked bars, plush VIP seating areas, an elevated DJ booth, an acoustically engineered ceiling and breathtaking panoramic views of STAPLES Center and L.A. Masterbeat 2020 (Dec. 30, 2019 - Jan. 1, 2020)



Celebrating the 20th anniversary of its signature event, Masterbeat 2020 features three nights of dance parties at four of LA's top venues: Avalon Hollywood, Mayan Theatre, Stock Exchange and Academy. It all starts with Revolution at Avalon Hollywood on Monday, Dec. 30 featuring Toy Armada & DJ Grind, plus Micky Friedmann.

The highlight of Masterbeat 2020, Resolution is taking place from 9pm to 6am at the Mayan Theatre in Downtown LA. Dance into the New Year with headlining DJs, Alexander and Alex Acosta, along with over 3,000 of the hottest men from around the world. Relive the year with the legendary Masterbeat countdown to midnight, along with other special surprises and performances.

After making your New Year’s resolutions at the main event, head over to Revision, featuring DJ Nina Flowers at her first Masterbeat event. Revision will take place at Stock Exchange from 4am - 11am.

The legendary Closing Party, Revival will take place on New Year's Day from 9pm to 4am at the all new Academy nightclub in Hollywood. This special event will be Brett Henrichsen’s final night as a DJ, 20 years to the date of his very first DJ set. To commemorate and celebrate his two-decade DJ career, the event is free for all to attend and kick off 2020.

Family New Year's Eve at LA Zoo Lights



Since its debut in 2014, LA Zoo Lights has grown into a can't-miss holiday light experience. Glowing animals welcome you as you embark on an unforgettable night time journey that includes the world’s largest illuminated pop-up storybook, a magical disco ball forest, giant glittering snowflakes, and a twinkling tunnel filled with dynamic swirls of color. Universal Studios Hollywood rings in 2020 with EVE, Hollywood’s biggest and most exciting New Year’s celebration. EVE is included in the price of admission and invites guests to spend the day enjoying world-class rides and attractions, then party till 2am with music, dancing, photo-ops and a special midnight countdown celebration with fireworks.

Dance into 2020 at three live entertainment areas: "Latin Beats," "Electric New Year" (EDM) and "Rock the Night" (Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop). Specialty cocktails, beer, wine and champagne will be available for purchase at each party area.

Guests are invited to celebrate in style with the Ultimate EVE package. The first seating (5pm - 8:15pm) features singer Amanda Castro, who fuses vintage and New Orleans jazz, swing and pop songs into a new musical experience. The Santa Monica Playhouse welcomes 2020 with The Annual One-Time-Only New Year’s Eve Revue, featuring a family-friendly Rudie-DeCarlo musical revue, prizes, sing-alongs, dancing in the aisles, humor and other delights culled from five decades of beloved SMP productions. The L.A. County Department of Beaches & Harbors invites the whole family to enjoy not one, but TWO New Year's Eve fireworks displays over the beautiful waters of Marina del Rey! Taking place at Burton Chace Park, the New Year's Eve Fireworks & Glow Party starts at 7 p.m. with fun, family friendly activities including DJs, dancers, Circuit Breaker Robot, face painting, bubbles, photo booth, free giveaways, food trucks and more. Just before 9 p.m., there's a 30-second countdown to the Times Square ball drop, followed by a 10-minute fireworks display. Then it's the West Coast's turn, with a 30-second countdown to 2020 followed by another 10-minute fireworks display. Watch the spectacular fireworks from Burton Chace Park, Fisherman’s Village, and the other waterfront restaurants.
