Pride Month continues in Los Angeles this week when the Dodgers celebrate LGBTQ+ fans at home on Friday, June 13, for the first game in their series against the San Francisco Giants. Other Pride-related events this week include a special edition of the popular party Lez Croix at El Cid on Friday night and Cinespia’s Pride event at Hollywood Forever on Saturday, June 14 featuring a 30th anniversary screening of Showgirls.

On the concert front, this week’s hottest tickets include sold out shows from Saves the Day at the Echoplex and Zola Jesus at 2220 Arts + Archives. Two of JMSM’s three shows at Zebulon, which will include new, unreleased material, are already sold out, so act fast if you want to catch the singer on Sunday, June 15.

Also happening the week of June 9 are the BET Awards at Peacock Theater, Los Angeles Ballet’s production of Cinderella, a 40th anniversary screening of Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure and lots more. Keep reading to find out what’s happening in LA between June 9 and June 15.

Tyler Childers current tour brings together eclectic lineups that vary from city to city. In Los Angeles, the platinum selling country artist heads to the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, June 10 with support from Robert Earl Keen and New Jersey-based meditation music outfit SOMA.

In mid-May, Tune-Yards released their funky, dance floor-friendly sixth album, Better Dreaming. The Northern California duo heads to Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 11, where they’ll headline The Bellwether with support from Kassa Overall.

Led by singer Annie Caldwell and guitarist Willie Joe Caldwell, who have been married to each other for 50 years, Annie & the Caldwells is the Mississippi disco, gospel family band that has been earning rave reviews since the release of their album Can’t Lose My (Soul) earlier this year. Catch them live at Zebulon on Wednesday, June 11, with support from Moor Mothers and Gabriels handling DJ duties.

With a new album, Rushmere, out now, Mumford & Sons bring their current U.S. tour to the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, June 12. British indie duo Good Neighbours, who released their self-titled debut album last fall, will open the night.

The Los Angeles Ballet’s weekend-long run of Cinderella at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre begins on Thursday, June 12. Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved score will be performed by a live orchestra and the production features choreography by Edwaard Liang, the renowned artistic director of the Washington Ballet. The performance is 130 minutes with two intermissions.

The World Champion Dodgers are hosting the rival San Francisco Giants for the annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night at Dodger Stadium on Friday, June 13! The pregame party will take place in the Right Field Pavilion; first pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm. This special event ticket package includes a ticket to the game and an exclusive Dodgers LGBTQ+ jersey. NOTE: This is not a stadium-wide promotion, only fans that purchase the Pride Night Package will receive the jersey.

“A More Perfect Union: The Films of Robert Minervini” begins on June 13 with the Los Angeles premiere of the director’s 2024 Civil War film, The Damned, which won the Best Director award at Cannes last year. Minervini is scheduled to appear in person at the screening at 2220 Arts + Archives. The retrospective of his films will continue through June 23 with screenings at both 2220 Arts + Archives and Brain Dead Studios.
