Though Derek and Scott have been perfecting their craft since 2010, SLANDER has entered the dance music scene with the feel of an overnight success story. Veteran DJs and skilled producers, SLANDER has crafted their own genre dubbed "Heaven Trap" with a devout following. Despite their rapid rise, they are no stranger to the industry's top producers, including Skrillex, DJ Snake, Flosstradamus, Diplo, Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, RL Grime, Yellow Claw, Bro Safari, Snails, and Carnage. Their Nuclear Bonds EP was a stand-out release from dance music’s top underground label, Mad Decent. After dozens of remixes, their first big vocal hit, a Heaven Trap original entitled “Love Again” featuring vocalist WAVZ, garnered over one million listens on Soundcloud and was also championed by Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint. With past performances at EDC Las Vegas, Nocturnal Wonderland, TomorrowWorld, Electric Zoo, EDC Orlando, EDC Mexico, Something Wicked, Sun City Music Festival, Contact Music Festival, Sunset Music Festival, Ilesoniq, Moonrise, LifeInColor, and Global Dance at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater primarily on the main stage, SLANDER has had the opportunity to show that their tracks are festival worthy.  They went on the Gud Vibrations tour with best friend NGHTMRE and played historical venues such as the Hollywood Palladium, The Rave, Concord Music Hall, Ogden Theater, Stereolive, Ram’s Head Live, The Observatory, Playstation Theater, The Fillmore and many more. They did this all while holding down a monthly residency at the #1 nightclub in the United States, XS, whose other DJs include megaclub juggernauts Avicii, Deadmau5, David Guetta, and Zedd.  Besides the top clubs and festivals in the U.S., they've headlined in Paris, Geneva, Milan, Athens, and other European cities as well as performed at Europe’s premiere dance festival - Tomorrowland. They’ve now hit Australia, New Zealand, India, and Asia on multiple headline tours and their international profile grows daily.

Poolside began as a recording project in a converted Los Angeles backyard pool house in early 2011, producing sunny tracks of subaquatic indie dance music in this makeshift recording studio. Surfacing first in the form of a YouTube video for the catchy track "Do You Believe?" Poolside were soon gaining local and national attention, with DJs like James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, techno legend Derrick May, and disco don Todd Terje spinning these tracks at events and a growing online following. Throughout 2011 Poolside continued making waves with a sound called "daytime disco" through tracks like their cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" and original tunes. In 2012 Poolside worked on a remix for longtime disco punks The Rapture and held fans over with a new single and video for a song called "Slow Down" as they prepared to release their debut album. That album, Pacific Standard Time, was self-released in July of 2012. After the album's release, remixes for artists like Matthew Dear, Little Dragon and Fool's Gold soon followed, as well as rehearsing and touring with a live band and doing DJ sets around the world. As thoughts turned to a second album, Poolside went on ice for a year to regroup, beginning to work in earnest on another album in the Fall of 2016. While still revolving around the sunny, laid-back disco sound of PST, these sessions yielded the additions of up-tempo dance songs and more guitars, and generally more fleshed-out arrangements. Poolside surprise released their second album Heat in 2017.

"Make music like no one's listening" is the motto of Aaron Carmack, and appropriately so.  His story is a three-part series, divided into factions of past, present, and future. Every element of the past, as Aaron Carmack would explain, has had an effect on who he is today as both a writer/producer and DJ. Being born and raised in San Francisco, attending and dropping out of college in Long Beach, CA, moving to Oahu for three years and living off income from monthly releases on Bandcamp – Carmack’s music is an expression and perpetual reflection of all of it. Constantly translating personal experience into his craft, Carmack finds inspiration from a range of sources, from his friends and fellow musicians in production cliques, Team Supreme and Soulection, to his travels and numerous sold out tours of five continents over the past two years, sharing stages with folks like Hudson Mohawke, Just Blaze, Cashmere Cat, and Diplo. These influences, combined with a hunger for discovering the newest, most cutting-edge sounds on sites like Soundcloud, are some of the ingredients to the now-Los Angeles-based producer’s distinct creative process. Like a hinge to the doorway between dance music and hip hop, Carmack’s musical output increasingly occupies a void frontier between the two genres, identified by his contemporaries, fans, and himself purely as “Carmack”. With a devotion to the studio and a grinding work ethic, the inventive producer aims to release a prolific amount of music in coming months, all while performing as often as possible. Stay tuned.
