A seasoned marketing leader with more than 25 years of experience, Hanson is already familiar with Los Angeles Tourism’s efforts through her previous service on the Marketing Committee during her tenure with Westfield.

"Eileen’s breadth of expertise, combined with her deep knowledge of the global marketplace and passion for our City of Angels will be incredible assets to our team,” said Adam Burke, President & CEO of Los Angeles Tourism. “Her proven success in building world-class brands, cultivating meaningful partnerships, and delivering innovative marketing strategies makes her uniquely qualified to help elevate LA's global presence as a premier destination for leisure travel, meetings & conventions, and major events.”

Most recently, Hanson serves on the executive team at Vantage Group, a global leader in airport and transportation investment, development, management, and advisory services, where she leads the organization’s integrated global marketing efforts.

Prior to Vantage Group, Hanson held the role of Senior Vice President, Commercial Strategy at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where she oversaw corporate and field marketing for major airports and retail destinations, including Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Chicago O’Hare, and Westfield World Trade Center. Her leadership also includes a tenure with Hilton Worldwide as Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Communications, where she directed all global marketing initiatives for the award-winning Honors loyalty program and led a rebranding effort recognized by Advertising Age as one of the year’s top 50 marketing campaigns.

“Los Angeles is a city filled with creativity, energy and innovation, and I’m excited to work with the entire team and our partners across the globe to share LA’s story with the world,” Hanson said. “As we look to the monumental years ahead, we have an opportunity to showcase the very best of Los Angeles in ways that connect with visitors, planners, and communities alike.”
