Troll through the pumpkin-lit pathways of Descanso Gardens’ Carved, where a new route winds past luminous jack-o’-lanterns, massive hand-carved gourds, playful wood spirits, and the striking “Rhizome” installation. There’s always something new to see since the large art pumpkins weigh hundreds of pounds and only last about three days, resulting in a rapidly evolving portfolio of creative carvings by the artists.
