The Hollywood Sign celebrates its 100th birthday in 2023. While the original sign was erected as a sales promotion for an upscale housing development, the original haphazard collection of telephone poles and wires was replaced to its original specs in 1978. While no one can visit the sign up close, there are many vantage points to hike to that give you a great view and photo opportunity.
