Jackyl

Jackyl burst out of Georgia in 1992 with their self-titled debut on Geffen Records, defying the
grunge era with loud, unapologetic Southern-bred hard rock. Produced by Brendan O’Brien, the
album went double platinum and spawned fan favorites like “The Lumberjack,” “I Stand Alone,”
and “Down On Me,” along with a scene-stealing performance at Woodstock ’94.

Known as much for their no-holds-barred attitude as their music, Jackyl built a massive
following through relentless touring with bands like Aerosmith, KISS, and ZZ Top, bold stunts,
and fearless stands for free speech. Success continued with platinum albums Push Comes to
Shove and major moments including collaborations with AC/DC’s Brian Johnson and record-
setting touring achievements.

Thirty years later, Jackyl remain a force of nature. Their 2022 release Jackyl 30 Coming In Hot
and anniversary celebration at Sturgis’ Full Throttle Saloon reaffirm the band’s enduring
legacy—still loud, still proud, and still celebrating the fundamentals of rock ’n’ roll.
