The orchestra’s final concert of the 2024-2025 Season is guaranteed to lift the spirits! The program opens with a familiar favorite, Rossini’s Overture to "The Barber of Seville", followed by Mozart's lively "Haffner" Symphony. Iain Farrington’s "Porgy and Bess Fantasy", a suite adapted from Gershwin’s folk opera, concludes the program. The piece features some of Gershwin’s most beloved musical themes including “Summertime”, “Bess, You Is My Woman” and “It Ain’t Necessarily So”.
