Pack your picnic basket, shake out your blanket, grab your friends & family by the hand, and head to Griffith Park! LA’s Shakespeare in the Park returns for an ENTIRE summer of free theater under the stars! Fall in love this summer with Love's Labour's Lost, a bittersweet romantic comedy, then in August, flirt with danger at Doctor Faustus, a darkly dazzling classic of desire and consequence.
Have your best summer nights at the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival! Performances begin at 7pm but arrive early to enjoy your picnic on the grass (don't forget your blanket!) The performance site is the dell at the top of the Old Zoo. Parking is free, but there's a 10-minute walk up a gently sloping hill to our site. Special pre-show events like themed dress up nights, family workshops, salons and more are also happening. All the details are at our website: indieshakes.org
ABOUT LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST
Four gentlemen commit to a celibate life of disciplined study, but the last thing they expect is a quartet of aristocratic ladies to sweep them off their feet. Shakespeare’s intoxicating wit meets Bridgerton’s spicy society drama in Indie Shakes’ lush, bawdy, and bittersweet romantic comedy.
