‘MELOMANIACS’ PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS IN WEST HOLLYWOOD

West Hollywood, CA - Caroline Nagy, a 2024 WeHo Artist Grant recipient, will present the culmination of her project, “Melomaniacs: The Improvised Journeys of Independent Musicians,” with a final presentation and concert on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 7:00pm in the WeHo City Council Chambers Theater. This free community event aims to spotlight the stories and musicianship of independent artists living and working in West Hollywood.

The evening will feature a mix of arts research, musician advocacy, and live performance. The program begins at 7 p.m. with a welcome and an introduction to “Melomaniacs.” A panel discussion titled “Please Stop Asking Me What My Day Job Is” will follow, exploring themes of authenticity and legitimacy as career musicians. The event concludes with a musical performance and an after-party nearby.
