On Saturday, January 18th, the Western Museum of Flight is hosting a Celebrity Lecture Series – X-15 Rocket Plane.

One of the great adventures of Manned Space Experimentation was the development and operation of the X-15 experimental aircraft. This gave rise to another adventure which was the exciting journey of writing a book about the entire project. You will have the privilege of hearing from the author, Michelle Eveans, of that book – The X-15 Rocket Plane – Flying the First Wings into Space. The presentation will include a display from Ms. Evans X-15 collection.

Hear the inside story about the of the entire project, the ordeals it entailed, and the corollary ordeal of documentation of the entire saga. You’re invited for this wonderful pictorial account of the X-15 and the documentation of its story.
