Bestia's Ori Menashe Named One of Food & Wine's 2015 Best New Chefs

Bestia chef-owner Ori Menashe has been named one of Food & Wine magazine’s 2015 Best New Chefs. This national honor has been given to some of L.A.'s top chefs, including Nancy Silverton, Roy Choi, Jon Shook and more.

Located in Downtown L.A.'s thriving Arts District, Bestia was opened by Menashe and his wife Genevieve Gergis in 2012. Menashe previously worked at notable L.A. restaurants such as Angelini Osteria, All'Angelo and Pizzeria Mozza.

Don't miss Menashe's "quintessential" Bestia dish, Cavatelli alla Norcina, which features ricotta dumplings with house-made pork sausage, black truffles and Grana Padano.

Menashe's next highly-anticipated project was just announced. According to LA Downtown News, Menashe is partnering with restaurateur Bill Chait to open a Middle Eastern-themed restaurant this fall. Located at 500 Mateo St. in the Arts District, the 12,682 square-foot space will feature a wood-burning grill, bakery, ice cream shop, market and a 4,818 square-foot patio.
