Los Angeles, CA (October 17, 2024) - This Fall, Los Angeles Tourism is inviting visitors to discover a vibrant array of new experiences and offerings. While the city’s iconic palm trees and sunshine remain, Autumn is buzzing with innovative restaurants, hotels, art exhibits, and so much more. On the heels of the Paris Olympics torch passing to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, accentuated with a little Hollywood magic and help from Tom Cruise, Los Angeles Tourism is proud to showcase our iconic sports and entertainment offerings to visitors and Angelenos ahead of LA28, including the brand-new Intuit Dome, home of the Los Angeles Clippers. Enjoy LA’s culinary-filled week with LA Tourism’s upcoming Winter Dine LA (January 24 – February 7, 2025) and a fresh wave of Michelin Guide restaurants to savor. W Hotel Renovations (Hollywood)
W Hollywood is pioneering a new, elevated playbook of distinct design, evolved passion programming, and refined service culture as the new West Coast flagship of its luxury lifestyle W Hotels brand. The new W Hollywood features 319 rooms–including 39 suites–that capture the energy and charm of contemporary Hollywood (with a few throwback design touches, too). Each room comes with a signature W bed and pillow-top mattress, plush goose down duvet, and lush Egyptian cotton sheets. With postcard-worthy views of the Hollywood sign and Capitol Records building, the property’s alluring rooftop – WET Deck – now features two destination bars Sunrise and Sunset.
Regent Santa Monica (Santa Monica)
Experience the excitement and luxury of Santa Monica and Los Angeles’ westside at the new Regent Santa Monica. In October, the former Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel just south of Santa Monica Pier has been renovated, updated and reopened under InterContinental Hotels Group’s Regent Hotels & Resorts luxury brand. The highly anticipated property has 143 guest rooms and 24 suites, a spa, and a beachfront pool deck. The opening marks a return of the ultraluxury Regent brand to the U.S.
The Olivia Hotel (Westwood)
Prepare to immerse yourself in a brand-new upscale boutique hotel with 56 guest rooms designed to provide the utmost comfort, set amidst modern and chic ambience with the tranquility of a nature-inspired design. Step into a beautiful landscaped garden courtyard with a cozy fire pit under the starlit sky. Nestled near the vibrant heartbeat of Westwood Village and the prestigious UCLA campus, The Olivia Hotel celebrates the spirit of the Bruins.
Burton House Hotel (Beverly Hills)
The Burton House Beverly Hills, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, opened in May. The all-suite abode will pay tribute to the city’s rich history and lush landscapes while also embracing a modern flair. The 193 rooms will have separate sleeping and living areas and kitchenettes. Guests can also expect stylish touches like contemporary artwork, plush leather headboards, jewel-toned accents and a mix of prints and patterns. The swanky lobby will have a similar aesthetic with pops of green, patterned accent walls and rugs and plants to help bring the outdoors in. An indoor-outdoor restaurant will also serve Mediterranean fare with a SoCal twist.
The Sandbourne Santa Monica (Santa Monica)
The Sandbourne Santa Monica has opened at the beachfront Santa Monica site that previously housed Le Merigot. The 175-room hotel includes 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a 200-square-foot dog park and the 187-seat California-Mediterranean restaurant Marelle. The hotel, which is part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, will add a full-service spa in 2025.
Sonesta LAX Renovation (LAX/Beach Cities)
Sonesta Los Angeles at LAX proudly announces the completion date of October 15, 2024 of its highly anticipated renovation, marking a significant milestone in redefining the landscape of hospitality in Los Angeles. Renovation highlights include redesigned guest rooms, revamped dining experiences, enhanced public spaces and more. Sonesta Los Angeles at LAX is a premier hotel located in the heart of Los Angeles, offering unparalleled comfort, convenience, and style.

Hotel Lucile (Silver Lake) Early 2025
Hotel Lucile is a 25-room boutique hotel in the heart of Silver Lake by Casetta. Housed in a 1931 church building where Griffith Boulevard and Lucile Avenue converge, the space has been reimagined to include a restaurant and bar, pool, rooftop lounge and more. Just around the corner from the farmer’s market and with views of the city from its rooftop, the hotel will be welcoming guests in 2025.
Jordan San Gabriel (San Gabriel Valley) Opening January 2025
The former Hyatt Place property in San Gabriel is being redeveloped and rebranded under Hilton’s Curio Collection as the Jordan San Gabriel. The 212-room hotel, which is located across the street from the San Gabriel Square Mall, is slated to open in January 2025.

Kali Hotel and Rooftop (Hollywood Park) Recently Announced
KPC Development Company announces its latest project, Kali Hotel and Rooftop, Autograph Collection, a landmark lifestyle hotel at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California. Located at 3737 Stadium Drive, the 300-key hotel is adjacent to SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater, within walking distance of Intuit Dome and Kia Forum, and 4 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, proving locale to be one of the property’s many attractive attributes. Plans for the 13-story hotel provide for 300 guest rooms including 34 suites, along with a pool and yoga deck, spa, fitness center, three food and beverage concepts, and nearly 20,000 square feet of meetings and events space.
Mama Shelter Downtown Los Angeles (Downtown) Opening 2026
It was recently announced that the second Mama Shelter location in Los Angeles will transform the existing Mart South Building in the Downtown Fashion District. The property will boast 145 standard rooms and four suites, as well as a three festive food and beverage offerings with an all-day dining concept, a café on ground floor and a rooftop bar and terrace overlooking the city. The new concept is expected to open in early 2026.
Whisky Hotel (Hollywood) Opening 2026
Whisky Hotel is a seven-story 132 room boutique hotel located in the heart of Hollywood on the cross streets of Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue. The project will have a whisky themed lobby bar and restaurant and a rooftop lounge and bar.
North Hollywood Hotel (North Hollywood) Opening 2026
A 125-room hotel has been approved for a Lankershim Boulevard site about a half-mile south of the North Hollywood Metro Rail station. The seven-story-high project is also slated to include about 9,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Cheval Blanc Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills) Opening 2026
A 115-room hotel under the Cheval Blanc luxury-resort brand, which is affiliated with Louis Vuitton, is being proposed for a site near Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard. The site is also slated to include restaurants and a private club.
Aman Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills) Opening 2027
Swiss hotelier Aman has announced plans for a luxury hotel to be developed near the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards. The Aman Beverly Hills will have as many as 42 rooms and 37 Aman-branded luxury condominiums. The hotel, to be located on the old Robinsons-May department store site that’s just west of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and was previously earmarked for a hotel under China’s Wanda brand, will be part of the 17.5-acre One Beverly Hills project.
Venice Place (Venice Beach) Opening 2027
Venice’s Abbot Kinney Boulevard will be the site of a mixed-use project that will include 78 boutique hotel rooms and four furnished long-term-stay units. The Venice Place project, located three blocks from the beach, will include the buildings that currently house Felix Trattoria and ATLA restaurant, and will also feature a rooftop pool, retail stores and co-working space.

Intuit Dome (Inglewood)
The Intuit Dome, opened in August 2024, welcomes fans as the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers with a spectacular campus including practice and training facilities, an 80,000 square foot outdoor plaza, basketball courts, public art and more. Built for the fan, by the fan, the development redefines every aspect of the live sports experience and solidifies Inglewood as a new hub for sports and entertainment in Los Angeles. Los Angeles Chargers Announce Official Opening of "The Bolt" (El Segundo)
The Los Angeles Chargers officially opened "The Bolt," the team's new state-of-the-art training facility and corporate headquarters. The El Segundo-based facility boasts expansive views of the LA Basin and sits within four miles of LAX, popular South Bay beaches and SoFi Stadium. The ground floor includes an expansive locker room, equipment room, training & medical space, weight room, hydrotherapy room, recovery room, sauna, steam room, barber's area, multiple player lounges and direct access to practice fields, a lap/rehab pool and an outdoor lounge featuring a BBQ, firepit and full sun outdoor televisions. The top floor features a soon-to-be-completed private, members-only club with wrap-around outdoor view balcony, lounge, dining area and private dining room. The third level also serves as the hub for all executive and business staff offices, conference rooms and content creation hubs. Tickets are open to the public at a first come, first serve basis.

Cosm Los Angeles (Inglewood)
Cosm, a leading immersive technology, media, and entertainment company officially open its first venue to the public in June 2024. Its 65,000 square foot experiential venue located in Los Angeles' Hollywood Park will feature a live Shared Reality production of UFC 303 offering fans an all-access, Octagon-side experience that they've never seen before.
Reopening of Montrose Bowl (Montrose)
The 84-year-old bowling alley, Montrose Bowl, has reopened with fresh coats of green, white, pink, and black paint, glittering green vinyl booths and stools, ballpoint pens, and paper scoresheets. For the first time in 20 years, the public can enjoy this vintage institution every day of the week, along with comforting vegan food served at its restaurant Never Caged.
Sloomoo Institute Los Angeles (Fairfax)
Sloomoo Institute is a celebration of sensory play and a must-visit for kids and the kids at heart. Combining a mix of science and magic, the Los Angeles location is full of freshly crafted slime, Kinetic Sand, a DIY Bar, Slimey Mirrors, Lake Sloomoo and more.
Andy’s Jazz & R&B Club (West Hollywood)
West Hollywood’s about to get a huge dose of nightlife cool from Anderson .Paak, producer, rapper, drummer, and one-half of Silk Sonic (along with Bruno Mars), with his new jazz and R&B club, Andy’s. The performing artist has partnered with prolific nightlife brothers Mark and Jonnie Houston (No Vacancy, La Descarga, Level 8) and brought on chef Chris Oh to build a casual supper club menu in the venue, which opened on September 25.
50th Anniversary of The Getty Villa (Malibu)
The Getty Villa is this country’s preeminent museum of ancient Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities and this year, it’s celebrating 50 years welcoming the public to its beautiful grounds. As the Villa embarks on its next 50 years, treasures and stories from the ancient world continue to come alive within its halls. On view now is Sculpted Portraits from Ancient Egypt, which features stone works on loan from the British Museum. This fall, Ancient Thrace: Treasures from the Classical World the next exhibition for The Classical World in Context, goes on view. The Getty will continue to collect antiquities with good provenance while continuing the Villa’s program of research and conservation treatments on especially important antiquities from around the world.
Vinyl Nights at The Godfrey Hotel (Hollywood)
For a midweek celebration, the hotel features Vinyl Nights at i|O rooftop, featuring live DJs, delicious cocktails, art installations and fun. Guests and locals alike can join the hotel every Wednesday evening as they revive the rhythm and savor the spirit with Vinyl at i|O Rooftop. Featuring cocktail specials with specially curated Vinyl sounds and surprise guest DJs. Guests can reserve a table through Tock.

The Last Bookstore (Studio City)
The Last Bookstore is officially opening a second location in Studio City, near the border of Studio City, North Hollywood and Toluca Lake. Beloved by its visitors, the bookstore offers new and used books, vinyl records, comic books and more.
West Harbor (San Pedro) Expected late 2025
Located in San Pedro, West Harbor is a new and vibrant waterfront destination for dining, shopping, entertainment and extraordinary experiences. Opening in 2025, this modern and dynamic district offers an exciting collection of stores, restaurants and experiences. West Harbor features an expansive harborside promenade and the longest courtesy dock in Southern California. Plans include an amphitheater for world-class entertainment, in collaboration with the renowned Nederlander Concerts. When open, West Harbor will feature a one-mile-long waterfront promenade, a 1,200-linear-foot public dock for boat access, more than 200,000 square feet of waterfront attractions and excursions, and many other amenities and experiences.
Dataland (Downtown)
Refik Anadol Studio presents DATALAND, the world’s first Museum of AI Arts, which is set to open in 2025 at The Grand LA, the Frank Gehry-designed development in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. DATALAND features art experiences blending human imagination and artificial intelligence, establishing a new model for artistic expression at the onset of the digital age.
Discovery Cube Los Angeles' ‘Front Yard’ (Sylmar)
A decade after setting up shop at the former Children's Museum campus near Hansen Dam, Discovery Cube Los Angeles is getting ready for a makeover. Discovery Cube LA is planning to add over 40,000 square feet of new exhibit space, which will feature 5 new exhibits, programming space, fire ranger watchtower, dinosaur trails, an outdoor amphitheater, butterfly gardens, and more. Construction of the project is projected to occur in two phases over the course of approximately two years, starting as early as 2024.
Hollywood Park Festivals (Inglewood)
Spanning nearly 300 acres, Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use development under construction in the Western United States. Being built by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke, this unprecedented and unparalleled project is transforming the site of the former Hollywood Park racetrack into a year-round sports and entertainment destination. Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center Expected mid-2025
In July 2023, the California Science Center commenced Go for Stack, the complex process of moving and lifting each of the space shuttle components into place for Endeavour’s upcoming awe-inspiring 20-story vertical display. This technically challenging feat has never been done outside of a NASA facility. The Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center will dramatically expand the footprint and impact of the California Science Center, adding 200,000 square feet of space for exhibits, events and educational programs, and include three multi-level galleries – Air, Space and Shuttle – spanning four floors of exhibit space.
‘Fast & Furious’ Roller Coaster Supercharged at Universal Studios Hollywood Expected 2026
Buckle up! Universal Studios Hollywood has announced construction will soon begin on its new roller coaster, themed to Universal Pictures' blockbuster saga Fast & Furious. Renowned for creating groundbreaking and imaginative rides and attractions inspired by today's most compelling movie, television and digital game experiences, Universal Studios Hollywood will bring innovative and technological achievements never previously employed to this all-new thrill ride. For more than twenty years, the Fast & Furious franchise has stoked passion in an ever-expanding audience, earning more than US$7 billion at the worldwide box office - becoming Universal Pictures' most-profitable and longest-running franchise.

Companion (Venice)
During the daytime, Companion serves coffee and pastries, plus sandwiches filled with porchetta and bolognese from chef Jack Goode (Quarter Sheets, Bab’s, Jac’s on Bond). At night, the restaurant flips into a wine bar serving a Caesar salad that swaps lettuce for Romano beans, a panzanella salad, rigatoni Bolognese, and a wagyu New York Strip.
Edgemar (Santa Monica)
Edgemar is a Modern American neighborhood restaurant nestled in a historic Frank Gehry-designed building on Main Street in Santa Monica. Our menu, service, and design blend global and local influences to create a dining experience that’s truly unique to our community. The food ranges global flavors using farmers' market produce, heavily leaning on coastal flavors.
New Chef at asterid DTLA (Downtown)
Chef Mazen Mustafa is now the executive chef of Downtown Los Angeles’ asterid by Ray Garcia. Located at the base of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, asterid is a celebration of Los Angeles’ mosaic of diverse cultures and culinary richness.
DEME at Hotel Figueroa (Downtown)
DTLA’s award-winning urban oasis Hotel Figueroa announced the grand opening of its new flagship poolside restaurant, DEME, by The Botanical Group, in August, in celebratory fashion ahead of the hotel’s 98th birthday. Named after Demeter, the Greek Goddess of the Harvest, and a nod to the hotel’s historic roots centered around celebrating and empowering women since 1926, Deme infuses the flavors and traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea into the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Open for dinner service from 5 p.m. – close, Deme will be open nightly from Monday - Sunday.
Camelia (Arts District)
Located in the former Church & State space, Camelia seats 100 diners and serve a French Japanese menu. Inspired by Kaplan and Namba’s travels to Japan, as well as Namba’s French culinary experiences cooking in places like Thomas Keller’s now-closed Bouchon in Beverly Hills, Camelia brings a Tokyo-style French bistro to Los Angeles.
Barr Seco (Silver Lake)
Silver Lake’s day-to-night cafe and wine bar Barr Seco debuted in Silver Lake on September 22. The all-day spot blends Latino and Asian flavors with a morning menu of coffee, various bowls, and sandwiches before transitioning to snackier dishes and natural wines in the evening.
PikNik (Echo Park)
The Lonely Oyster Team opens a Scandinavian Cafe inside the Echo Park Lake Boathouse. Piknik features a range of breakfast and lunch items by chef de cuisine Maia Domingues. Menu items include morning pastries like madeleines, cookies, a gouda-based pão de quiejo, yogurt with granola, and a layered chocolate hazelnut cake. For lunch, Piknik will serve seasonal salads, open-faced sandwiches on Danish rye topped with chopped herring and apple with dill, a potato chip-encrusted wagyu schnitzel, and shaved sirloin with salted butter, horseradish aioli, pickled onions, tomato, and herbs. Smoothies, elixirs, and non-alcoholic cocktails are also available, while natural wines will be served beginning in the fall. Piknik also packages customizable picnic baskets to enjoy around the park.
A pair of acclaimed Japanese restaurants are opening in LA this fall. Udatsu, a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant in Tokyo, is making its way to the U.S. with an eight-seat counter in Hollywood opening in mid-September. Udatsu Sushi comes from founding chef Hisashi Udatsu, who opened the original location in Nakameguro in 2019 and earning a Michelin star in 2022. Udatsu will be located next to Rokusho, a 34-seat restaurant serving modern interpretations of Japanese comfort dishes such as wagyu aburi sushi and tuna katsu sando.
Laya (Hollywood)
Chef Charbel Hayek’s second LA restaurant in just over a year, Laya, opens a block away from the Hollywood Farmers Market, where the chef shops for produce every week. Hayek, the Season 2 winner of Top Chef: Middle East, debuts Laya in May, inside the former La Mesa Lounge and Restaurant with a familiar yet casual menu that takes cues from his 2023 opening Ladyhawk.
Carmel Melrose (Hollywood)
Carmel has made its highly-anticipated debut on Melrose Avenue. Friends and partners Asaf Maoz, Liron Hazan, Ronnie Benarie and Yoav Schverd have transformed the former Village Idiot bar space to create a chic yet cozy ambiance where locals can enjoy natural wines on draft along with grilled meats, Mediterranean favorites and globally-inspired flavors.
Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant and Bar at Madame Tussauds (Hollywood)
Just opened in August, experience the magic at The Hollywood Rooftop, an outdoor oasis where old Hollywood charm meets modern LA vibes. Sip cocktails, savor California cuisine, and dine alongside celebrities at Madame Tussauds' new Rooftop Restaurant & Bar!
Komal Molino (Historic South Central)
At Komal Molino, Fátima Juárez prepares dishes inspired by her upbringing in Mexico City using house-made masa. Komal opened on September 25 in Mercado La Paloma. Komal’s menu of pre-Hispanic dishes are made with Indigenous corn sourced directly from farmers in Mexico that’s then nixtamalized on-site.
Petit Grain Boulangerie (Santa Monica)
Two of LA’s most talented bakers, Clémence de Lutz (the Gourmadise School) and Tony Hernandez (Bread Lounge, Friends & Family, Dough Box), are teaming up to open a new bakery in Santa Monica. Located at 1209 Wilshire Boulevard, Petit Grain Boulangerie opened in May, in the former Broadway Baker space.
New Dining at Hotel Bel-Air (Bel-Air)
Los Angeles’ legendary estate and enclave of rarified exclusivity, Hotel Bel-Air, a Dorchester Collection hotel, ushers in a new era of culinary excellence and innovation of The Living Room and The Patisserie. Offering two unique dining experiences effortlessly transitioning from day into afternoon and evening and brought to life by Champalimaud Design, the new spaces are carved from nature, reflecting the understated glamour which has cemented Hotel Bel-Air as an icon of Hollywood since 1946, taking guests on an immersive sensory journey designed for connecting, unwinding, and indulging.
Hokey Pokey (Culver City)
Soft serve specialist Hokey Pokey opens its second location in Culver City at the Westfield mall in July (its first location is inside the Westfield Century City). The New Zealand-style soft serve blends real fruits, toffee, hazelnut, and other toppings into its ice creams.

Zaytinya (Culver City) Coming Soon
José Andrés Group (JAG), is opening an outpost of the hit Mediterranean restaurant Zaytinya at The Shay hotel in Culver City by the end of 2024. The incoming Zaytinya, along with a yet-to-be-named rooftop spot set to debut in 2025, is part of a larger JAG takeover of the hotel’s food and beverage program, including in-room dining, poolside bites, a lobby lounge, and more.
Nancy Silverton’s Pasta Bar (Koreatown) Fall 2024
Nancy Silverton is set to open a new pasta bar in Koreatown this May with business partner, Joe Bastianich. Just a few miles away from the Mozzaplex, the restaurant is set to serve mainly classic dishes, though Silverton has expressed interest in dabbling in fusion as well.
Max and Helen’s (Larchmont) Coming Soon
Phil Rosenthal of Netflix’s ‘Somebody Feed Phil’ is opening Max and Helen’s, an old-school diner, in Larchmont Village this summer. Featuring elevated comfort diner foods, Rosenthal named the restaurant after his parents and will be partnering with Chef Nancy Silverton on the menu.
Levain Bakery (Venice)
Levain Bakery, the iconic New York desserts shop famous for slinging cakey, chunky, sky-high cookies, will open a second Southern California location in Venice’s Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
El Moro (Echo Park) 2025
El Moro, Mexico City’s most iconic and popular churro maker, is opening in the current Patra Burgers on Sunset building in Echo Park sometime in May 2025.

PST ART: Art & Science Collide Running through February 2025
Southern California’s landmark arts event, Pacific Standard Time, returns in September 2024 with more than 50 exhibitions from museums and other institutions across the region, all exploring the intersections of art and science, both past and present. Dozens of cultural, scientific, and community organizations will join the latest edition, PST ART: Art & Science Collide, with exhibitions on subjects ranging from ancient cosmologies to Indigenous sci-fi, and from environmental justice to artificial intelligence. Art & Science Collide will share groundbreaking research, create indelible experiences for the public, and generate new ways of understanding our complex world. Starting in 2030, PST Art is slated to return to Los Angeles on a five-year rotation.

The Broad Expansion Recently Announced
The Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles recently announced plans for an expansion that will build upon the success of The Broad’s first decade by providing enhanced public access to the growing collection, extend The Broad’s standard-setting visitor engagement, and make possible deeper offerings in live programming. The Broad will break ground on the expansion in early 2025 during its tenth-anniversary year and will remain open during construction. The new building will open to the public before Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Summer Olympics. General admission will continue to be free.
Colburn School Expansion Recently Announced
The Colburn School of Performing Arts in Downtown Los Angeles broke ground on April 5 on a 100,000-square-foot campus expansion in Downtown Los Angeles designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry. The new complex, the Colburn Center, will include a 1,000-seat concert hall, four professional-sized dance studios and a 100-seat studio theater. The Colburn Center is planning for completion in early 2027.

NHM Commons November 2024
The Natural History Museum in Exposition Park recently announced NHM Commons, a new wing and community hub on the southwest side of the museum campus. Slated to open in November 2024, the transformative $75 million expansion and renovation project will create approximately 60,000 square feet of renovated space and new construction that will serve as both a destination and a portal into the Museum
Institute of Contemporary Art Upgrades (Downtown)
The Institute of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles is planning to buy the East Seventh Street building it occupies and improve it with a cafe, outdoor space and studios for a new artists-in-residence program.
LACMA Renovations 2026
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art in LA’s Miracle Mile continues its major renovations transforming four aging buildings into the David Geffen Galleries, a magnificent new building for the permanent collection designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor. The efficient space will feature 110,000 square feet of gallery space, a new theater, education spaces, three restaurants/cafes, a museum shop and multipurpose event spaces. In addition, the new building spans Wilshire in order to provide 3.5 acres of new park and outdoor space for visitors.
Lucas Museum of Narrative Art 2026
Founded by philanthropist and filmmaker George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson, Co-CEO and President of Ariel Investments, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art will focus on the universal art of visual storytelling. The museum will present exhibitions for diverse public audiences unpacking visual storytelling in its richness and complexity through dynamic learning opportunities and public programs. Designed by renowned architect Ma Yansong and under construction in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park, the museum will feature expansive galleries, state-of-the-art cinematic theaters, dedicated spaces for learning and engagement, a new public green space, restaurants, retail and event spaces.
Destination Crenshaw Under Construction
Destination Crenshaw is the largest public/private Black art program in the nation, stamping a 1.3-mile stretch of Crenshaw Boulevard with an infrastructure project that includes beautifully designed community spaces, landscaping, and newly planted trees, and 100 commissioned works by Black artists. While elevating Black culture, Destination Crenshaw will also boost the community through economic development, job creation and environmental healing.

Thirteen Lane (Larchmont)
Thirteen Lune began as a wellness and beauty e-commerce destination in 2020 and is now a brick-and-mortar located on the bustling Larchmont Avenue, a walkable stretch of popular beauty shops. Co-founder Nyakio Grieco designed the concept to shed light on beauty brands created by Black and Brown founders.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)
The Automated People Mover at LAX January 2026
The Automated People Mover (APM) is the centerpiece of LAX’s multibillion dollar Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) which will enhance the traveler experience, give guests time-certain access to terminals and provide the long-awaited connection to the regional transportation system. This project is a key portion of LAX’s $15 billion modernization program, considered the largest public works program in the history of the City of Los Angeles. The APM is an electric train system on a 2.25-mile elevated guideway with six stations total – three inside the Central Terminal Area (CTA) and three outside the CTA. Los Angeles International Airport broke ground on the APM project in March 2019 and anticipates that the system will be operational in 2026. During peak hours (9 a.m. to 11 p.m.), the APM will run nine trains, each with four cars and will be capable of carrying up to 50 passengers and their luggage, with a total of 200 passengers per train. The APM will be free for all users and operate 24/7. It will be completed in December 2025 and will debut to the public in January 2026.
TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE
LAX/Metro Transit Center Station November 2024
Metro’s plan for better transit includes connecting Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with Airport Metro Connector Transit Station (AMC) at Aviation Bl/96th Street, allowing transfers between LAX and Metro’s network. Located on the Metro K Line, the AMC includes a bus plaza, bicycle hub, customer service center and pick-up/drop-off area.
Hollywood Boulevard will undergo a major revamp in hopes of making it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists while revitalizing businesses along the boulevard, Los Angeles city officials and business leaders have announced. Named “Access to Hollywood,” the project will focus on a 3.6-mile stretch that will include removing some car lanes to install protected bike lanes and dedicated bus lanes, improving crosswalks and widening sidewalks.
Metro D Line Subway Extension Project Expected 2025-2027
Metro is expanding its rail system to the Westside with the D Line Subway Extension Project. This highly anticipated new addition to Metro’s network will add a total of seven new stations and a reliable, high-speed connection between Downtown and the Westside. Opening in three sections, Section 1 is slated to open in 2025 and will include stations located at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax, and Wilshire/La Cienega. The remaining two Sections will open in 2026 and 2027.
