Having started the process almost a year and a half ago, the TMD has now officially been renewed for the next 10 years, effective April 2016.On behalf of the TMD Board of Directors, I would like to thank and applaud so many of you who have been actively involved in the renewal process. We especially want to acknowledge the Hotel Steering Committee which includes nearly 30 hotels from all regions of L.A. They devoted countless time and energy in reviewing and considering the terms of the renewed TMD.Most importantly, the TMD Board would like to recognize the overwhelming majority of hotels who engaged in the petition process, and in doing so, demonstrated very strong industry support for continuing the Tourism Marketing District. The TMD has been a game-changer for our industry and hotels are thriving.  Renewal for a term of ten years allows us to continue to partner with L.A. Tourism to expand upon the sales and marketing momentum that has been accomplished to date. Again, thank you to all of you for your active support and I look forward to seeing you at our TMD Regional Hotel Meetings, December 1 and 2. Javier Cano
