You go hard when you travel, packing so much exploring, sightseeing, and bucket list fulfillment into each day, by the time you call it a night you need a good long, peaceful sleep. After all, you’re going to go just as hard tomorrow. Fortunately, BLVD Hotel & Spa in Studio City understands you and offers you not only a sweet sanctuary to lay your head, but an onsite spa in which to recharge your batteries.

From the minute you step into the lobby, the modern, sophisticated, undeniably California décor reminds you that even though you feel sheltered from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, you’re smack dab in the middle of the Entertainment Capital of the World.

The concierge welcomes you to L.A. by reminding you that you’re just minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk. In fact, you can purchase your tickets to Universal Studios from the front desk, should you need them. You’re also a mere stone’s throw from CBS Studio Center, and a short rideshare from Disney, NBC, and Warner Bros. studios.

Plus, some of L.A.’s most famed sushi restaurants, including SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa, Sushi Katsu-Ya, Teru Sushi, and many more are right down the street on Ventura Boulevard aka "Sushi Row." To boot, BLVD Hotel & Spa Studio City also grants you all-access to everything L.A. has to offer, via the Metro Red Line Universal City Station, which is a mere five-minute walk from your suite. Welcome to L.A., indeed.

Your BLVD Signature Suite could be synonymous with sleek, yet somehow manages to maintain a boutique hotel vibe, thanks to the minimal but thoughtful pops of colors (like the orange throw pillow on your otherwise pristine white king bed, or the blue wall juxtaposed to the wood accented furniture and hardwood floors). The separate living area offers a plush loveseat, a second flat screen tv, and your very own wet bar. Outside, you see that your private balcony provides a pretty mountain view, and you’re delighted to find that the free Wi-Fi also works out there.

In your gleaming bathroom, you’re charmed to find not only a rain shower head in the shower, but also eco-friendly toiletries scented with sesame oil and chamomile. The raised sink, illuminated mirrors, and white tile give the bathroom a particularly revitalizing feeling, which you know you’ll enjoy after the adventuring you’ve got planned.

Since it’s still early in the day, and you purchased a 2-Day admission ticket, you waste no time in heading to Universal Studios Hollywood. You begin your visit with the World-Famous Studio Tour. The 60-minute tour is video-hosted by Jimmy Fallon and takes you through calamities such as EARTHQUAKE: The Big One and Flash Flood. You also get up close and personal with King Kong 360 3-D and come face to face with Jaws. Along the way, you go behind the scenes and see the Bates Motel, then wrap up with Fast & Furious Supercharged!, which serves as the grand finale of the Studio Tour.

Next on your list is The Walking Dead attraction, which leaves you perfectly creeped out, so you decide that a visit to the DreamWorks Theatre, featuring Kung Fu Panda, is in order, and you’re happy to find it leaves you feeling just…happy.

There are plenty of places to eat within the park, but since you’ll be back tomorrow, for dinner you decide to head to Universal CityWalk, which offers more than 30 restaurants, you finally settle on the CityWalk location of Pink’s Famous Hot Dogs, a Hollywood legend since 1939. You opt for the La La Land Dog (9″ stretch dog topped with guacamole, chopped tomatoes, bacon bits, swizzle of sour cream) and immediately understand why the casual dining joint has been going strong for 80 years.

Sufficiently stuffed and ready to unwind, you head back to BLVD Hotel & Spa for the 7pm hot stone massage you’ve booked at VIYA Spa by BLVD—which couldn’t be more conveniently located given it’s in the hotel. The soothing heat is immediately relaxing, and you feel the minor aches you’ve acquired from traveling (and your hard-charging tourist ways), dissipate.

Thoroughly rejuvenated, the only thing that could make you feel any more relaxed would be a cocktail, so you head to BLVD’s Backdrop Lounge, where mixologists have created a cocktail menu featuring signature infused liquor, such as lavender gin. The BLVD Signature does not disappoint. While enjoying the soothing yet warming spirits, you think about all you’re going to see in the coming days.

Tomorrow you’ll return to Universal Studios to revel in the sheer delight of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and make a note to come back for the new Jurassic World™ – The Ride after it opens this summer. Afterwards, you'll head to the Universal City Metro Station and pop down the hill to Hollywood & Highland and take in the stars of hundreds of celebrities immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

You also plan to visit the TCL Chinese Theatre, where you’ll look for Marilyn Monroe’s handprints, before heading to the Hollywood Wax Museum for selfies with life-size wax figures of your favorite celebrities. You’ll spend the evening at the Hollywood Bowl for a concert under the stars before taking the Metro back to BLVD.

Finally, you’ll crawl once again into your 450 thread-count sheets, on your remarkably comfortable king bed, to rest and reboot before setting out again, determined to extract every ounce of adventure that you can from your visit to L.A.
