Enjoy Low Key Luxury at the AC Hotel Beverly Hills
A premier destination without the snobbery located minutes from the Golden Triangle
You enjoy the finer things in life but shun pretentiousness. The way you see it, there’s something to be said for swanky, but not at the risk of snobbery. Is it too much to ask to stay in a premier destination, and enjoy carefully curated amenities, without feeling like you have to put on airs? It’s definitely not, as you find out when you arrive at the AC Hotel Beverly Hills.
Located just two miles from Beverly Hills’ famed Golden Triangle, the AC Hotel Beverly Hills is minutes from palatial mansions, glamorous shopping areas, and exclusive restaurants, yet opts to make you feel at ease, rather than out of place in this famously affluent area of Los Angeles.
Eye-catching modern art perfectly complements the elegant, minimalist décor in the hotel lobby, which opens to an outdoor, covered seating area with comfortable sofas and chairs, and playful pillows. You also note the well-appointed business center / architecture book collection near the reception desk, should you need it.
Adjacent to the lobby, you see the inviting AC Lounge, where the friendly concierge invites you to enjoy a glass of wine, tapas style small plates, and desserts at your leisure. She personally recommends the avocado, feta, and basil toast if you’re in the mood for a savory little snack, or the warm salted caramel cookie or cinnamon-sugar churros if you’re craving something sweet. The AC Lounge is also where you’ll find the European Breakfast Buffet in the morning featuring a la carte egg dishes, freshly baked croissants, and assorted European and domestic cheeses.
Before you head to your room, the concierge mentions a unique modern luxury at your fingertips: the hotel offers robot butler service, which allows you to request a snack, fresh towels or other items to be brought to your room via their innovative relay robot.
Upstairs in your One Bedroom King Suite, the modern European-inspired meets Beverly Hills glam aesthetic continues. With beautiful city views from both the bedroom and the living room, your suite is subtly sophisticated, with clean lines, and contemporary living room furnishings including an oversize chair, sofa, coffee table, 55” inch television and workspace. You quickly log on to the free high-speed WiFi, while re-hydrating from your flight with complimentary bottled water.
Once you’ve flipped through your email, you continue exploring your suite. Your bathroom is spotless and enormous, with fluffy towels, loads of counter space, lighted vanity and a walk-in shower. Continuing into your bedroom, you find a large closet, along with a plush robe, mini fridge, a second flat screen TV, and a deliciously comfortable king-sized bed. You take just a few moments to lay down and soak in the blue skies and sunshine pouring in your window. It’s just the right amount of posh.
The view is so lovely that you realize that you really should be outside, so you head to the rooftop lounge to order a Perrier, which you enjoy while dipping your toes in the wading pool. The view of the city and surrounding mountains is so lovely that you decide you’re definitely having dinner here at Level Eleven Lounge. But for the time being, you simply enjoy the moment - perfectly relaxed, perfectly spoiled, perfectly at home.
After soaking in a bit of sun, you remind yourself that your early flight prevented a gym visit, so you head to the fitness center for a workout. With yoga mats, exercise balls, cardio equipment and free weights at your disposal, you’ve killed an hour before you know it and built up an appetite in the process. You hurry to shower and prep for dinner, as you know you can't miss the sunset from the rooftop patio.
The grilled salmon with spiced lentil stew at Level Eleven Lounge is as delightful as your view, and you top off your meal with refreshingly sweet gelato. While taking a last look at the twinkling lights surrounding you in all directions, you start daydreaming about tomorrow.
There's shopping at the nearby Grove, Westfield Century City and Rodeo Drive; cultural attractions like LACMA, Petersen Automotive Museum, and Annenberg Space for Photography; and dining options ranging from Lucques, Nobu and Republique to The Original Farmers Market, Canter's, and Jon & Vinny's.
You can already tell that your trip to Los Angeles is going to result in wonderful memories. After all, you’ve already begun creating them and you haven’t even left your hotel.
