Every day, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) efficiently transports hundreds of thousands of passengers throughout LA via subway trains, light rail and buses. Metro Rail is LA’s rapid transit rail system, with six lines serving 80 stations across LA County. The Metro Blue Line connects Long Beach and LA, while the Metro Green Line runs between Norwalk and Redondo Beach. The Metro Red Line subway services Downtown, Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley. The Metro Purple Line runs between Union Station, Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue. The Metro Gold Line runs from Pasadena to East LA. The Metro Expo Line runs between Culver City and Downtown. By riding Metro, locals and visitors alike can enjoy world-famous attractions and cultural gems throughout Los Angeles.
The FlyAway® bus service provides frequent non-stop transportation between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and locations throughout the city. FlyAway® buses operate seven days a week and drop passengers off on the Upper/Departures Level of each terminal at LAX. At LAX, passengers board buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green "FlyAway®, Buses and Long Distance Vans" signs. Each bus is marked with its service location.
From Downtown L.A. to Santa Monica, Go Metro and discover the cultural attractions, restaurants, nightlife and hotels along the Expo Line.
