nimal Heads Clay Workshop • July 12 & 13 • 10AM – 2PM • Ages 9-16
Join ceramic artist Michelle Solorzano for a fun and hands-on two-day workshop exploring animal forms in clay. Participants will learn how to construct a hollow sculpture using slab and coil-building techniques. Using reference images and sketches showing the front, side, and back views of your chosen animal, you’ll translate your 2D ideas into dynamic 3D forms. In addition to building, students will create their own spring molds—small, reusable decorative elements that can be used to add texture and embellishments to the surface of their sculptures.
Class fee includes materials, firings, and a light snack.
