AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME by James Still (Staged Reading)

Don’t miss the rare opportunity to experience James Still's powerful play, AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME: Remembering the World of Anne Frank, which shares the memories of Ed Silverberg and Eva Schloss, two Holocaust survivors who were friends of Anne Frank in Amsterdam. The play includes video testimony from the two survivors, with actors taking over their stories. This special staged reading is part of the first fundraising gala for In Other People's Shoes Productions, a Pasadena-based theatre company creating new work for and about young people. The reading reunites the cast and creative team of the 2020 Ovation Award winner for best production of a play. In Other People’s Shoes founder Mireya “Murry” Hepner says, “We are proud to present resonant, impactful stories created for young people. Sharing this play is one way that we’re reminding people what can happen when hate goes unchecked." Tickets are $100 and the event also includes a reception and silent auction. People who are unable to attend but want to support are encouraged to sponsor a ticket for a teenager, so more young people can hear these important stories.
