PBS SoCal Joins CD13 for Lens on Life: A Monthly Community Film Screening Series

The LA City Council District 13, Office of Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez, the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre and Department of Cultural Affairs will host a free community screening of PBS SoCal’s Emmy® award-winning arts and culture series ARTBOUND documentary “La Raza” at the Echo Park Film Center (1200 N Alvarado St, Los Angeles, CA 90026) on Wednesday, June 18 from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. As part of a monthly film series “Lens on Life,” guests are invited to stay for a post-screening discussion with Chicano photographer, Luis C. Garza, to discuss how today’s generation can learn from the leaders of the Chicano movement in Los Angeles.
