Angels Gate Cultural Center (AGCC), in partnership with artist group FLOOD, is pleased to present the soundpedro2025 chthonic on-site event on Saturday, June 7th, 7pm – 10pm.

The one-night free event features over 100 artist installations & performances including: sculptures, environments, installations, timed and ongoing performances, interactions, and presentations placed throughout the AGCC 7-acre campus.*

This year’s theme is chthonic: relating to the Underworld, a realm ruled by enigmas and psychopomps, a place of forgotten or yet to be remembered potential. Don’t mistake it for mere subterranean; chthonic implies both profound existential dread and hope.

More information about soundpedro2025 chthonic and full list of participating artists can be found at https://soundpedro.art/

soundpedro is decidedly not a music event.

Make sure to explore ch’SONIC & Artificial Synesthesia which open in the AGCC gallery on June 7th. Senses blur and the subconscious stirs within the vibrant world of synesthesia-where colors murmur and sounds shimmer-and the mysterious depths of the chthonic, evoking primal forces and shadowy underworlds. The exhibition will be on view through July 5th with free public gallery hours Thursdays through Saturdays, from 10am to 5pm. Visit https://qr.link/3AfhvY for more information about the exhibition.

soundpedro is an annual season of experimental sound art events, presented through November, that investigates the way we perceive and experience sound.

*Note: Be prepared for rough terrain, sun and wind exposure, and temperature changes — e.g. jackets, umbrellas, blankets, practical footwear, etc.
