Boyle Heights Youth Festival

The Boyle Heights Youth Festival Returns — Saturday, June 7!
Get ready for the return of BHYFest, the annual Boyle Heights Youth Festival, happening Saturday, June 7 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on 1st Street (between Breed and St. Louis). This one-of-a-kind, youth-led event celebrates creativity, leadership, and the vibrant spirit of our community.
What makes BHYFest special is that
It’s created, led, and produced entirely by local youth—empowering young people ages 14–24 to discover talents, build leadership skills, and gain real-world experience across teams like live music, logistics, marketing, sports, and community partnerships.
Event Highlights:
100+ booths offering free resources, services, and activities from local organizations
FREE food for all! Including elotes, hot dogs, aguas frescas, and over 4,000 paletas
Live performances by youth artists from across Los Angeles
Family-friendly fun:
Wall climbing
Bungee jumping
Skate park
Inflatable play area
Kids’ art zone
Obstacle course
Getting There:
We encourage everyone to walk, bike, skate, or take public transit (Metro and bus lines). The street will be closed to traffic, creating a safe, festive block party atmosphere. The event is pet-friendly, fully accessible, and features multiple water refill stations—please bring a reusable bottle!
No commercial vendors. Everything is 100% FREE
BHYFest is more than a festival—it’s a leadership training ground for over 100 youth, preparing the next generation of artists, organizers, and civic leaders.
Presented in collaboration with:
Boyle Heights Arts Conservatory, Casa 0101, Healing Urban Barrios, Alma Family Services, Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center, and Soledad Enrichment Action.
