ACB presents the world premiere of The Euterpides, a mythic new ballet by young composing prodigy Alma Deutscher and ACB Director Lincoln Jones. Deutscher composed her first piano sonata at the age of 5, her first violin concerto at 9, and her first full opera at 10. Now 20, she's composed her first-ever ballet by commission from ACB, and will conduct its first two performances.
The Euterpides is presented on a program with George Balanchine's groundbreaking masterpiece Serenade. Both ballets will be performed on a soundstage at Television City for a uniquely cinematic ballet experience unlike any other in the city.
