LGBTQ+ Water Marbling - May 29

Every Thursday is Queer Art Hang at Nova Community Arts, a series of workshops exclusively for adults in the LBGTQ+ community. This Thursday we’ll be learning water marbling!

Come learn the art of marbling - floating paint on the surface of a denser liquid to create beautiful patterns. We’ll go over how to create the “size” (the dense liquid) and how to modify paints to help them spread properly. Then we’ll show how to create different patterns through dropping and manipulating the paint surface. You’ll also learn how to place materials onto the paint to get the proper coverage with no empty spots. Using your new knowledge you’ll create multiple marbled prints on paper and fabric.
