THE 9TH ANNUAL LA GET DOWN FESTIVAL

LA Get Down is an annual Hip Hop & Spoken Word celebration in honor of National Poetry Month held at Greenway Court Theatre every April. The month-long festival features poetry and hip hop performances, poetry slams, performing and writing workshops, and more, culminating in the InkSlam Invitational – a poetry slam of the highest caliber from the hosts of the Nation’s largest weekly open mic, Da Poetry Lounge. This festival is testament to Greenway's core values; to uplift underrepresented voices and shine a light on the artists in our community. There's something for everyone - whether you're an aspiring poet, writer, or performer this festival is a chance to engage directly with local artists and professional poets in your community.
