Participants can now register for the Griffith Park Run Half Marathon & 5K in Griffith Park, which will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025 — 4730 Crystal Springs Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90027 — and will benefit the Los Angeles Parks Foundation and Los Angeles City Parks. This race is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, as well as pets, with a course that takes participants through the scenic trails of Griffith Park with minimal hills. As the only half marathon that covers all the main trails in Griffith Park, participants can enjoy the backdrop of iconic landmarks such as the Old Pony Ride, Merry-Go-Round, Travel Town, LA Zoo and Autry Museum. The 5K route will be flat, scenic, and shaded. Rewards will be given to the first male and female runners who reach the last peak. All finishers will be awarded medals designed by Los Angeles-based artist, Beatriz Mojarro.
Promising a great family day out, the half marathon will begin at 7:30 AM and the 5K race will begin at 10:00 AM. Registration fees include raffle items, commemorative die cast medal, premium t-shirt, and access to sampling booths. Plenty of parking will be located off of Crystal Springs Road. This will be the first of several runs in 2025 benefiting the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, including the return of the Venice Beach Run on July 19, 2025 and an inaugural run at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro on October 4, 2025. All proceeds will benefit Los Angeles Parks Foundation www.laparksfoundation.org, which was founded in 2008 to enhance, expand, and preserve public parks, recreation, and open space for the diverse people of Los Angeles.
