Café Gratitude Larchmont

323.580.6383) is once again hosting the annual Give Thanks community event from 11am to 3pm. Café Gratitude will serve a free, plant-based Thanksgiving meal accompanied by live music. No reservations - first come, first served. Early arrival suggested, all ages are welcome. Proceeds will be donated to Safe Place for Youth. Volunteers are needed, sign up here. And you can still bring gratitude home this Thanksgiving by pre-ordering prepared vegan sides and pies.
Instagram star vendor, Compton Vegan is offering his delectable soul food by order from his catering menu. Main dishes include the seitan-based Wingz, sweet potato-based Ribz, and Jambalaya, along with sides and desserts in various family-sized options. Don’t forget dessert! The Echo Park location of the all-vegan chain Cinnaholic (2134 W. Sunset Blvd, Suite E, Los Angeles 90026, 323.844.3944) is offering special “bundlings” of their signature “Old School” cinnamon rolls just for the holidays. Get four for $17 or six for $23.
At Crossroads Kitchen (8284 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles 90046, 323.782.9245), award-winning chef Tal Ronnen (whom Oprah called “the best vegan chef in America”) offers a four-course prix fixe menu that begins with butternut squash bisque, followed by autumn chopped salad. For the main course, choose from holiday spiced lentil tempeh or scallopini. Finish with pumpkin mousse verrine or cranberry sorbet. Dine in on Thanksgiving from noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are required.
Follow Your Heart Market & Cafe
One of L.A.’s first vegetarian restaurants (also the creators of Vegenaise, Vegan Egg and many other beloved products), Follow Your Heart Market & Cafe (21825 Sherman Way, Canoga Park 91303, 818.348.3240offers their extensive Heat and Eat Thanksgiving Menu for pre-order, featuring a complete Thanksgiving Dinner, their new "Turkey" Pot Pie, and a la carte items. Place your order by November 19 and pick it up between noon on November 20 and 3pm on Thanksgiving Day. Their market is open on Thanksgiving Day from 9am to 3pm, so swing by for last-minute ingredients.
Follow Your Heart is also serving a Vegan Thanksgiving Feast on November 20 (4-9pm), November 21 (noon to 9pm) and Thanksgiving Day from 10am to 2:30pm. Pricing is $21.99 or $26.99 for the gluten free option.
They’re closed on Thanksgiving, but Little Pine (2870 Rowena Ave, Los Angeles 90039) take their holiday pie orders very seriously. 9-inch pumpkin, apple, and bourbon pecan pies are available for pick-up on November 21. Inn of the Seventh Ray
Herbivores and omnivores can dine together at Inn of the Seventh Ray (128 Old Topanga Canyon Rd, Topanga 90290, 310.455.1311), a fairytale-like restaurant in the woods offering three- and five-course Thanksgiving and vegan dinners featuring an apple cider-brined free range or faux turkey. Pricing is $65 for three courses, $75 for five courses and $35 for the three-course children's menu. Reservations are recommended.
Mama's International Tamales
This MacArthur Park location (2124 W 7th St., Los Angeles 90057, 213.487.7474, sometimes seen as a food stand in Highland Park) is offering a special Thanksgiving catering package with a dozen vegan tamales, half sheet of rice, half sheet of beans, plantains, with sides of red and green salsa for only $99. Place orders by November 16.
A three locations of M Café (Melrose, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood) are offering a vegan and macrobiotic Thanksgiving Feast to-go menu. The Thanksgiving Feast includes a choice of Gluten-Free Tempeh Loaf or Holiday Seitan Roast, Spiced Butternut Squash Bisque, Autumn Field Greens, plus two sides. The Thanksgiving Feast is priced at $75 for two and $135 for four. A la carte pricing is available for entrees, sides and desserts - quince & blueberry tart for the win! All orders must be placed by 5pm on Monday, Nov. 19.
Mohawk Bend (2141 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles 90026, 213.483.2337) is closed on Thanksgiving, but this Echo Park craft beer brewery and restaurant has lots of vegan options leading up to and beyond the big day. Their non-vegan November Piece of the Pie featured pizza, And the Beet Goes On is loaded with roasted beets, goat cheese, bacon crumble, arugula and mozzarella. $4 from each purchase of And the Beet Goes On will be donated to nonprofit radio station, Dublab.
Known for their year-round comfort food, the Native Foods vegan restaurant chain is offering a Thanksgiving Buffet at their Westwood location, located minutes from the UCLA campus (1114 Gayley Ave, Los Angeles 90024, 310.209.1055). Served from noon to 7pm, the buffet features their Native Thanksgiving Roast (stuffed with sweet potato, kale, cranberries, apple, garlic mashed potatoes), gluten free Shepherd’s Pie, gluten free sides and two desserts, all for the bargain price of $29.99 per adult, $14.99 for kids 12 and under. Free for kids under 2. Reservations can be made by online.
Pre-game at Organix (1731 Colorado Blvd., Eagle Rock 90041) with the Vegan Leftover Sandwich (fried turkey cutlet, cranberry sauce, asparagus, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and spinach on a brioche roll) from now until Thanksgiving (when the deli will be closed).
Real Food Daily
Real Food Daily is closed on Thanksgiving but you can still get in on their 25th annual Thanksgiving To-Go, available for pre-order only through November 18 (WeHo: 310.289.9910l; Pasadena: 626.844.8900). Hickory-smoked maple carved jackfruit looks to be a standout again this year, along with roasted vegetables, pecan praline yams, sage walnut corn stuffing, and more. Sage Vegan Bistro (Echo Park, Culver City, Old Town Pasadena) offers an extensive holiday catering menu with everything from gluten-free tamales to lentil "meat" loaf and all of the traditional sides, many of which are gluten-free or can be adjusted for allergies. Available by the quart or half-tray, order online and early.
The VG Holiday Feast is back! Veggie Grill is offering a take-away Thanksgiving feast that feeds 4- 5 adults for $74.95. The Holiday Feast includes: stuffed holiday roast (a soy and wheat gluten-based Gardein product), cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed yams, cauli-mashed potatoes, porcini gravy and cranberry sauce.
