CELEBRATE PRIDE IN LOS ANGELES: ART, CULTURE, AND COMMUNITY EVENTS IN 2025

Los Angeles (May 9, 2025) - As Pride Month approaches, Los Angeles prepares to shine as one of the world’s most vibrant and inclusive destinations to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture. From iconic performances to thought-provoking exhibitions, LA offers a dynamic lineup of events in 2025 that honour queer history, amplify diverse voices, and bring community spirit to life.
Here are just a few of the can’t-miss experiences coming up this Pride:
• LA Pride Parade & Pride Village Festival (June 8):
The LA Pride Parade, which began in 1970 as the first permitted gay pride parade in the world, returns to Hollywood Boulevard on June 8th. March with your favorite advocacy orgs, wave to fabulous floats, and soak in a day full of live performances, celebrity sightings, and community connection. The accompanying Pride Village celebration adds DJs, food trucks, and interactive installations into the mix.
• West Hollywood Pride & OUTLOUD Festival (May 22–June 2):
West Hollywood Pride returns with a packed schedule of parades, drag performances, community programming, and the OUTLOUD music festival featuring Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Honey Dijon and more. • Tom of Finland House Tours (Echo Park, ongoing):
Step inside the legendary Tom of Finland House — a one-of-a-kind museum tucked behind hedges in LA’s Echo Park. The home of over 100,000 erotic artworks (including 3,500 originals by Tom himself) celebrates the fearless creativity and legacy of one of queer art’s true pioneers.
And beyond Pride Month...
LA’s LGBTQ+ spirit is felt year-round, where queer identity is both celebrated and seamlessly woven into the city’s cultural fabric. Round out your trip with a cocktail at The Abbey or Precinct, a bite to eat at the Ruby Fruit, or an underground show at Akbar in Silver Lake. Whether you're partying on a rooftop or discovering hidden gems on a gallery crawl, LA is the ultimate destination to feel seen, celebrated, and free.
