Pack your suitcase and don’t forget your tango shoes—traveling to Argentina from Los Angeles is just a click away, with American Airlines’ new nonstop service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Buenos Aires (EZE) starting December 19, 2018! American Airlines is the first airline to offer direct flights to B.A. from L.A., leading the way in customer satisfaction while leaving behind hours-long inconvenient connections.

Depart LAX Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at 4 pm and arrive at Ministro Pistarini International Airport at 9:45 am, just in time for a pastry and café con leche. Flights to LAX from EZE leave at 10 pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, landing at 6:05 am the next day.

“This is an exciting announcement for Los Angeles,” said Suzanne Boda, senior vice president – Los Angeles. “Our customers and team members, as well as regional businesses, will now have convenient access to explore beautiful Buenos Aires. This is yet another example of American Airlines’ continued commitment to grow and strengthen our hub in the City of Angels.”

Last year, the carrier announced their $1.5 billion investment in improvements at LAX for its customers and 7,000 team members who call the hub home. The Flagship Lounge in Terminal 4 is one of those promised upgrades. Angelenos can now avoid the crowds by heading to American Airlines’ revamped Flagship Lounge in Terminal 4 in LAX, open daily from 4:45am until 12:45am. It’s available to international Business and First classes as well as American Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Platinum members, regardless of the class service. Enjoy anything from starters through dessert in their Flagship First Dining area, or cozy up to the bar for wine and signature cocktails, all served within the lounge in an open and airy communal area.

Then it’s fair winds all the way to the melting pot of South America. Catch a concert at the Colón Theatre, walk Rivadavia—the world’s longest street—or experience chimichurri –topped asado, all just a day away now with American’s route running three times per week on their newest edition Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. Rest comfortably in one of the 30 Business Class fully lie-flat seats and have all the comforts of home anywhere onboard with access to international Wi-Fi, power outlets, and a touchscreen monitor packed with in-flight entertainment options. Complimentary in-flight meals and drinks are offered, as always for AA international flights. First and Business classes may reserve meals when booking, as late as 24 hours before leaving or early 30 days in advance. Their signature Five Star Service is available for First and Business classes, too.

American is the largest carrier at LAX with nearly 200 daily flights on peak days to 70 destinations on five continents. Since 2015, American Airlines has added service to 25 new destinations from LAX including Sydney, Auckland, Hong Kong, Tokyo Haneda, Beijing and now, Buenos Aires – the carrier’s second direct destination from Los Angeles to South America (they also fly direct to Sao Paulo four times weekly). LAX to EZE direct is one of AA’s five new routes overall to Latin America announced earlier this year—Oaxaca, Mexico; Georgetown, Guyana; Pereira, Colombia; and Cordoba, Argentina are all within reach, too.
