Bring gratitude home this Thanksgiving with prepared vegan sides and pies from Café Gratitude. The cult-favorite Miso Maple Brussels Sprouts or Thanksgiving staples like comforting Garlic Mashed Potatoes, along with an assortment of essential holiday pies are the perfect solution a plant-based Thanksgiving. Order by phone, in person or online at the Café Gratitude website. Crossroads Kitchen

At Crossroads Kitchen, award-winning chef Tal Ronnen (whom Oprah called “the best vegan chef in America”) offers a four-course prix fixe menu that begins with butternut squash bisque, followed by autumn chopped salad and holiday spiced chickpea cake with sides. Finish with chocolate tart or apple custard cake. Dine in on Thanksgiving from noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are required.

Santa Monica's Erven is offering family-style portions in house or for take-out (order 48 hours in advance). Parker house rolls with pickles and mustard, baby beets and parsnips, kale cavatelli, black-eyed pea "hoppin John," followed by pumpkin custard with gingersnap cookies, salted caramel and pecan brittle.

Follow Your Heart

One of L.A.’s first vegetarian restaurants (also the creators of Vegenaise, Vegan Egg and many other beloved products), Follow Your Heart Market & Cafe is offering their extensive Heat-and-Eat Thanksgiving feast for pre-order and as a sit-down lunch on Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their market is open on Thanksgiving too, so swing for last-minute ingredients. All special menu items are available a la carte in their deli starting Nov. 21 or order the whole shebang ahead online for pick-up between Nov. 1 through Nov. 20. Veggie “turkey” pot pies are available in family and individual sizes and the complete Thanksgiving dinner may be ordered gluten-free, as well.

"Gracias Por Oaxaca" - GRACIAS MADRE

Plant based Mexican restaurant Gracias Madre shares the spirit of the holiday by way of Gracias Por Oaxaca, a Thanksgiving benefit for earthquake relief in Oaxaca taking place on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 1-5 p.m. In partnership with Guelaguetza, Gracias Madre will donate proceeds from their Mexican-inspired Thanksgiving meal to Por Oaxaca. $25 suggested donation, no one will be turned away. 

The menu includes a butternut squash tamale with cranberry habanero sauce, fall salad, rice pilaf and pumpkin cheesecake, along with a cranberry Margarita to wash it down. Music by Brazilian singer Caro Pierotto will fill the West Hollywood space throughout the day. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Inn of the Seventh Ray

Herbivores and omnivores can dine together at Inn of the Seventh Ray, a fairytale-like restaurant in the woods offering five and three-course dinners with both vegan and apple cider-brined free-range turkey options. Vegan and vegetarian sides a-plenty, with wine flights and a three-course children’s meal on the menu, too. Reservations are recommended.

A three locations of M Café (Melrose, Beverly Hills, and the new one at 1800 Highland) are offering a full vegan and macrobiotic Thanksgiving to-go menu. The Thanksgiving Feast includes a choice of Holiday Seitan Roast en Croute or Gluten-Free Tempeh Loaf, soup, salad, plus two sides. The Thanksgiving Feast is priced at $75 for two and $135 for four. Mohawk Bend is closed on Thanksgiving, but this Echo Park favorite has lots of vegan options leading up to and beyond the big day, including their Piece of the Pie November feature, And the Beet Goes On: a pizza loaded with roasted beets, goat cheese, bacon crumble, arugula and mozzarella (which can be made vegan or vegetarian). $4 from each $16 purchase will be donated to nonprofit radio station, Dublab.

Native Foods

Known for their year-round comfort food, the Native Foods vegan restaurant chain is offering a holiday buffet at their Westwood location, located minutes from the UCLA campus. Served from noon-7pm, the buffet features their own Native Wellington (puff pastry filled with savory seitan, stuffing, orange-glazed sweet potatoes, kale, herbed mushrooms) along with sides, salad and desserts, all for the bargain price of $29.99 per adult, $14.99 for kids 12 and under. Real Food Daily

Real Food Daily is closed on Thanksgiving but you can still get in on their 24th annual Thanksgiving To-Go, offering complete meals or whole pies and house-made ice cream ready for pick-up the day before the big day.

For the first time ever, beloved fast food vegan chain Veggie Grill is offering a take-away VG Thanksgiving Feast that will feed 4-5 adults. Priced at $69.95, the feast includes: stuffed holiday roast (a soy and wheat gluten-based Gardein product), cornbread stuffing, mashed yams, their standard cauli-mashed potatoes, porcini gravy, and cranberry sauce.
