Family Vacations in West Hollywood

From the Sunset Strip to Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood is known for great bars, restaurants and nightlife, but it's many attractions and sights also make it perfect for families to take a getaway together and have some fun.

When it comes to hotels, West Hollywood has quite the selection of family-friendly properties, including the Andaz with it's famous rooftop pool, Le Montrose, Le Parc and Chamberlain, which all offer "apartment"-style lodging and The Best Western, where kids under 12 can stay free with an adult.

Recently named "the most walkable city in California," (Walkscore, 2011) West Hollywood offers families the perfect opportunity to get out and explore kid-friendly shopping, parks and restaurants throughout the neighborhood including Saddle Ranch Chop House, Carney's, Mel's Drive-In and Millions of Milkshakes.

You never know who you'll see in town - celebrities (and the photographers who trail them) abound, so keep your eyes open!

With LA's year-round summertime weather, spending time outdoors is a must. Luckily, West Hollywood has a ton of options, from sightseeing bike tours with Bikes & Hikes, farmers markets with live music and star-spotting tours with TMZ and Starline. The beautiful new West Hollywood Library and Park has a special area for children, with storytelling and puppet shows, an annual Book Fair and the adjacent park with lots of space to play and great basketball courts.
