All attendees will have the chance to set a lap time in Forza, entering them to win exclusive prizes by Polk Audio & Petersen.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the world's oldest active sports car race in endurance racing, held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France. It is one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world and is often called the "Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency."

“Le Mans takes the best out of everyone," says Tom Kristensen (aka “Mr. Le Mans”), a record nine-time Le Mans Champion. "Winning is important but it’s not everything. It’s such a big and great event in motorsport. You do more kilometres in that one race than Formula One do in a season, and probably a higher average speed. We average about 220 km/h including pit stops and cover nearly 5,000 km.”

A reception with dinner and drinks is taking place 5-6 p.m. The live challenge and Le Mans viewing party is 6-9 p.m.

Member tickets are $15 per person. Non-member tickets are $25. Tickets include dinner, drinks and parking. Must be 21+ to drink. To purchase tickets, visit the Petersen website.

About the Petersen

Located on Museum Row in the Miracle Mile District, the Petersen Automotive Museum was founded in 1994 by magazine publisher Robert E. Petersen and his wife Margie. Following an extensive $125-million renovation, the Petersen reopened to the public in December 2015. As part of its transformation, the museum added 15,000 square feet of display space and 25 new galleries. The Petersen utilizes state-of-the-art technology with displays of historically significant vehicles to tell the story of the automobile in Southern California and around the world. New exhibits feature characters from Disney/Pixar’s Cars, Xbox Forza racing simulators, BMW Art Cars, the new $400,000 Ford GT, a motorsports gallery, and virtual tours for the iPhone or iPad.
