LA24 Hotel Kick-Off

TMD hotels were invited to learn about LA’s bid for the Olympics 2024 at a meeting hosted by LATCB held at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton this month. Speaking to a full room of TMD hoteliers, Casey Wassermann, Chairman of LA 24, underscored the significance of Los Angeles as the city selected for the U.S. bid for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Mr. Wasserman briefed the audience on the importance of the lodging accommodation portion of the bid, and asked for strong support from the hospitality community.Donna Taylor, Accommodations Manager with LA 24, was introduced as the primary liaison with the hotels. She briefed the audience on the process needed to assemble the lodging requirements for the LA 24 bid package which is due February 2017. Donna will be working with LATCB’s sales department and will be reaching out to hotels directly.
