Mystic Makers: Art, Imagination & the Hidden Worlds
A Creative Family Workshop Exploring Art, Metaphysics & the Esoteric
hosted by dama

3:00pm-4:00pm (ages 3-5)

4:30-6:00pm (ages 6-12)

Step into a magical world where art meets mystery! In Mystic Makers, children and families will explore how artists through history have used symbols, dreams, and imagination to connect with hidden realms of knowledge—like alchemy, astrology, sacred geometry, and the spirit world. Together, we’ll uncover the creative secrets of artists like Hilma af Klint, Yayoi Kusama, Maria Magdalena Campos Pons, Ruth Asawa, Leonora Carrington, and then create our own mystical masterpieces.

Workshop Activities Include:

-Storytime & Discovery: Learn about visionary artists who explored the unknown through color, pattern, and spirit.
-Symbol Scavenger Hunt: A fun game decoding mystical symbols in famous artworks.
-Art-Making Stations: Make Your Own Magic Sigil, Create a Dream Portal Collage, Paint with Intuition – close your eyes, feel your inner world, and let the brush flow!
-Guided Family Meditation & Visualization: A simple, calming journey through the cosmos to inspire inner creativity.
-Gallery Time: Families share their creations in a mini pop-up exhibit and talk about what they "felt" as they made them.
-This workshop fosters creativity, emotional awareness, and open-minded thinking. Families will bond through imagination, and kids will learn that art is not just about what you see—but also what you sense and feel.
