Angels Gate Cultural Center's Family Art Workshops have long been a place of intergenerational community and art making. We believe that art is a powerful tool for social transformation.

We stand with our immigrant community.

We are committed to being a safe space.

AGCC is extending our Family Art Workshop hours on Saturday, June 21st to 1-4PM and inviting participants to use the planned medium of stencils and silkscreen to share messages of solidarity. We will be making art together for social change.

It's Family Art Workshop with Angels Gate Cultural Center!
Angels Gate offers monthly free art workshops. All are welcome. Art activities for kids and adults, ages 1 to 101!
¡Es el Taller de Arte Familiar con el Centro Cultural Angels Gate!
Angels Gate ofrece mensualmente talleres de arte gratuitos. Todos son bienvenidos. Actividades artísticas para niños y adultos, ¡de 1 a 101 años!

In this family workshop participants will learn how to create a one of a kind handmade stencil design on paper. Once their design is completed the participants will use the cutting tools to carefully cut out their designs on a cutting mat. If assistance is needed the teaching artist and assistant will help participants through the design. The participants will take their cut out stencils to the printing station using the silk screen method they will print their stencils on poster paper. Participants will leave with unique colorful stencil posters.

En este taller familiar, los participantes aprenderán a crear una plantilla de papel única. Una vez finalizado el diseño, los participantes utilizarán las herramientas de corte para recortar cuidadosamente sus diseños en una alfombrilla de corte. Si se necesita ayuda, el artista y el asistente ayudarán a los participantes a realizar el diseño. Los participantes llevarán sus plantillas recortadas a la estación de impresión utilizando el método de la serigrafía e imprimirán sus plantillas en papel de póster. Los participantes se irán con carteles únicos y coloridos.

All materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pets are not allowed inside our galleries or classrooms.
