Join us for the 4th annual Kibō Nobori festival, May 3rd 2025 11-4 PM at Terasaki Budokan in Little Tokyo, in celebration of the Japanese national holiday Children’s Day (‘Kodomo No Hi’ in Japanese) as well as AANHPI Heritage Month. Created by artist Faith-Ann Kiwa Young, Kibō Nobori means ‘hope flags’ in Japanese, and it seeks to spread hope within the Los Angeles community through art, activities, culture, and entertainment. Free with registration, and fun for all ages, this year’s festival will feature traditional Taiko drumming to hip hop dance, Angel City FC with a swag booth, kids art and sports activities, and an AANHPI marketplace with retail and food vendors curated by Filled Market.
