Ammo

Every time I eat there, I’m really glad that I went. It’s not too complicated, it’s just perfectly executed and really well done. It’s a nice dining atmosphere and located right in the center of Hollywood.

Crustacean Beverly Hills

Crustacean is definitely a special occasion restaurant, tucked away in Beverly Hills...They have amazing seafood – the garlic prawn noodle dish is to die for. The An family have a fabled secret kitchen in the back and I’ve always wondered about it. It sounds so cool.

Little Next Door

It’s a classic brasserie run by two French brothers so it’s the real thing. It’s located in the hip, design district on 3rd Street (Miracle Mile). I especially like the weekend brunches there. It’s always busy and there’s a European cosmopolitan vibe.

Chinois On Main

This is one of Wolfgang Puck’s first restaurants in Los Angeles and it still maintains – somewhat shamelessly – a classic 80’s flair, complete with neon pink tubing. The food is excellent, especially the Shanghai lobster. I will often see Warren Olney (award-winning host of To The Point and Which Way LA? on KCRW) and his lovely wife there.

Ford's Filling Station

Culver City is undeniably the culinary capital nowadays. Ford’s Filling Station is hip and unique yet it still feels approachable and neighborhoody. It’s located in the middle of it all in Culver City and is a great dining destination especially during Art Walk.
