Cirque du Soleil: LUZIA - Dodger Stadium (Opens Dec. 8, 2017)

Cirque du Soleil: LUZIA takes you to an imaginary Mexico, like in a waking dream, where light (“luz” in Spanish) quenches the spirit and rain (“lluvia”) soothes the soul. With a surrealistic series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA takes you on a fantastic journey through a vibrant world suspended between dreams and reality. From an old movie set to the ocean to a smoky dance hall or an arid desert, LUZIA brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity. In a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production, LUZIA incorporates rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes. Located at Dodger Stadium, the world-famous Big Top features printed patterns directly related to the theme of the show, another first for a Cirque du Soleil production.

Griffith Observatory

Opened in May 1935, the Griffith Observatory is one of L.A.’s greatest cultural attractions, offering spectacular views from the Pacific Ocean to Downtown L.A. from its perch on Mt. Hollywood in Griffith Park. Today, the Griffith Observatory is renowned as a national leader in public astronomy, and a beloved gathering place for visitors and Angelenos alike. Whether it's "star parties" like meteor showers, the awe-inspiring Samuel Oschin Planetarium, or film fans imagining themselves in scenes from "La La Land" and "Rebel Without a Cause," the Griffith Observatory is a must for your bucket list.
