Taking place Jan. 12-26, 2018, dineL.A. showcases the diversity of world-class culinary talent and dining excellence across Los Angeles. Featuring more than 300 participating restaurants, the 15-day dining event kicks off a year-long celebration of the program’s landmark 10th anniversary. “The focus of Winter dineL.A. aims to reflect upon the remarkable growth and accomplishments of Los Angeles’s dining scene over the past 10 years,” said dineL.A. Among the dineL.A. participants are a select group of chefs and restaurants that have been with the program since the very first edition. From celebrity chefs like Wolfgang Puck to landmarks like Lawry's The Prime Rib, read on for restaurants that are marking their milestone 10th year with dineL.A.

DOWNTOWN L.A. / L.A. Metro

BORDER GRILL DOWNTOWN L.A. 
Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger participated in the early years of dineL.A. with Ciudad (1998-2010) and continue to showcase their gourmet Mexican cuisine at Border Grill in Downtown L.A. The lively cantina is offering a $20 lunch menu and $29 dinner menu. Highlights include Octopus Diablo, Albondigas or Empanada Duo to start; Winter Farm Salad, Carnitas Nortenas, or Market Fish Bowl for entree; and choice of Sweet Potato Flan or Barcelona Chocolate Cake for dessert.

DAL RAE
A Pico Rivera icon since 1958, the Dal Rae still proudly serves classic Continental fare like Lobster Thermidor, Rack of Lamb, Chateaubriand, and tableside preparations of Caesar Salad, Steak Diane and Cherries Jubilee. The warm atmosphere includes wood paneling and a piano bar with live entertainment. For dineL.A., the Dal Rae is featuring a two-course lunch for $25 and a three-course $49 dinner menu. Go retro at dinner with options like Dal Rae's signature Pepper Filet Mignon, Blue Cheese Wedge of Iceberg, and Creme Brulee.

PATINA
Located at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the flagship of Joachim Splichal’s restaurant group is one of 16 high end participants in the dineL.A. Exclusive Series. Priced at $95, the five-course Patina dinner menu starts with Dungeness crab, followed by a choice of salsify agnolotti or hamachi, scallop and octopus crudo. Third course is Maine lobster a $40 supplemental black truffle risotto, followed by a choice of binchotan grilled Snake River Farms Wagyu or California squab, and ivory chocolate for dessert.

HOLLYWOOD

KATSUYA - HOLLYWOOD
Katsuya blends master sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi's fresh take on classic Japanese cuisine with the sleek and modern restaurant interiors of design icon Philippe Starck. For dineL.A.,  the Hollywood location is offering a $25 two-course lunch menu and $39 three-course dinner. Lunch highlights include crispy rice with spicy tuna, miso-marinated black cod, kakuni pork belly, and chef's selection of nigiri & hand roll. Dinner adds options like Japanese octopus carpaccio, Wagyu fried rice and mochi ice cream.

BEVERLY HILLS

LAWRY'S THE PRIME RIB
A true L.A. classic, Lawry's The Prime Rib opened on La Cienega in 1938 and has hosted generations of Angelenos and visitors from around the world. The $49 dineL.A. dinner starts with the Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad, followed by a fantastic "Surf and Turf" entree: a California Cut of prime rib with broiled Nova Scotia lobster tail, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Diners can also opt for Atlantic salmon and lobster tail. For dessert, choose from flourless chocolate cake, traditional English trifle, or creme brulee.

SANTA MONICA

BOA STEAKHOUSE
BOA Steakhouse is offering a $95 Exclusive Series menu that starts with a choice of Caesar Salad, foie gras torchon or chef's selection of four oysters. Second courses include black truffle cannelloni, goat cheese baklava, or pan seared scallop. Mains feature a 40-day dry aged New York, black cod, or duo of duck. Finish with Nouveau Cheesecake or Winter in the Windy City.

CHINOIS ON MAIN
Wolfgang Puck’s famed Chinois on Main is offering $25 lunch and $49 dinner three-course menus. First course at lunch is a choice of shrimp cake, Chinois chicken salad, or veggie pad thai. Mains include crispy sea bass, stir-fried chicken or wok fried Mongolian beef. Finish with warm chocolate fondant, trio of creme brulee or pecan tart. Dinner highlights include tuna tataki, Louisiana shrimp tempura, seared scallops with pad thai, jidori chicken breast, crispy pork chop and lemon yuzu custard.

VALENTINO
Piero Selvaggio’s Valentino is a Santa Monica fine dining institution and a bastion of Sicilian cuisine in L.A. Boasting one of the most extensive wine lists in the city, Valentino is perfect for a dineL.A. date night. The $49 dineL.A. menu starts with numerous antipasto options, including warm sweetbread salad, shrimp stuffed calamari rings, smoked fried mozzarella, and smoked quail rolle. Entree selections include lasagna with duck ragu and porcini, fresh fish of the day, seafood risotto, acorn-fed iberico pork "secreto," free-range chicken milanese, and barolo braised boneless beef short rib. Finish your romantic dinner with cannoli and sorbetto.

THE VALLEY

RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE - WOODLAND HILLS
Known for serving its steaks sizzling on 500-degree plates, Ruth's Chris Steak House is offering a $49 dineL.A. dinner menu at four L.A. locations. To start, choose from Steakhouse Salad, Caesar Salad or Ruth's Soup of the Day. Entree selections include petite filet with goat cheese and balsamic glaze, petite ribeye (upgrade to 16oz for $10 extra), or garlic crusted sea bass. Side dish options are mashed potatoes, creamed spinach or green beans. Finish with cheesecake and berries and cream duo. Special dineL.A. add-ons include lobster tail ($17), shrimp cocktail appetizer ($16) and a $21 wine pairing.

PASADENA / GLENDALE / ATWATER VILLAGE

THE TAM O'SHANTER 
One of L.A.'s most iconic restaurants, The Tam O'Shanter was opened in 1922 by Lawrence Frank and Walter Van de Kamp (they later founded Lawry's The Prime Rib) and there's a lot of history inside its dark wood walls. Walt Disney and his animators were regulars - his favorite table was #31, right by the fireplace and commemorated by a plaque. For dineL.A., "The Tam" is offering a three-course $49 dinner that starts with Devils on Horseback (cream-cheese filled dates wrapped in bacon). A first course of winter salad or baked potato is followed by the entree, a California Cut of the signature prime rib with classic sides. Other entree options include lamb shank or pan-roasted Scottish salmon. Dessert is a choice of sticky toffee pudding with Scotch whisky sauce or C.C. Brown's Hot Fudge Sundae.

CHAYA VENICE
Beginning with its original location that opened in Japan over 350 years ago, the Chaya restaurant group is renowned for its pioneering Asian fusion cuisine. The $25 lunch at Chaya Venice showcases a bento box with American Wagyu beef & spicy shrimp roll, sake steamed black porgy, Venice Chopped Salad, miso soup, beet kimchi and mochi ice cream. Dinner ramps up to an omakase-style $95 Exclusive Series menu, featuring raw oyster and caviar, tai snapper sushi, grilled king crab, hibachi grilled American Wagyu, Harry's Farm strawberry gazpacho, winter vegetable lasagna, toro & uni hand roll, tequila ramen, and fried dates & vanilla ice cream.

PORTS O'CALL
Boasting one of L.A.'s best waterfront restaurant views, Ports O'Call in San Pedro is offering a $20 dineL.A. lunch menu and $39 dinner. Lunch features a trio of sandwich options: shrimp po'boy, stacked prime beef, or roasted vegetables. At dinner, choose from a 22 oz. draft beer or glass of wine to start. Appetizer choices include pan-seared Crabby Patties, steamed clams, or bacon & cheddar potato croquettes. Main course options feature bone-in pork chop, crab-stuffed Atlantic salmon, or jumbo scallops. For dessert, choose from creme brulee or warm New Orleans style bread pudding.

LONG BEACH

MICHAEL'S ON NAPLES RISTORANTE
A Long Beach favorite known for its top notch Italian cuisine, extensive wine list and elegant setting, Michael’s on Naples Ristorante is offering a three-course $49 dineL.A. dinner. Antipasti choices include speckled romaine salad, roasted calamari or pappardelle with braised beef cheek. Main course options feature braised beef shoulder, seared diver scallops, or grilled Mediterranean sea bream. Finish with semifreddo, tiramisu or gelato.
