Note from TMD Board Chair, Javier Cano

Dear LATMD Hoteliers,

I know you all join me in celebrating the hosting of last month’s very successful U.S. Travel Association’s IPW 2024 in Los Angeles. This IPW reached record-breaking attendance and welcomed 5,700 travel buyers, exhibitors and media from across the U.S. and from nearly 70 counties. 

Thanks to the close partnership of Los Angeles Tourism and the LA Tourism Marketing District, IPW 2024 provided a once-in-a-decade opportunity to showcase today’s Los Angeles to the recovering international market.

Also extremely exciting, as you know, is that the TMD Board and our TMD hotels are well into the process of renewing the TMD for another 10-year term. This solely benefits our nearly 200 TMD properties as we look towards building increased demand and occupancy for Los Angeles TMD hotels.

On behalf of the TMD Board Members, I want to extend our thanks to each of you for your continued support of the TMD and all our hotel members.
